"Karang!! Magazine April 2002"
interviewed by Chez Martin
Chez: So this is your first album in over a year. What was the reason for such a long hiatus?
Crispy: Well we took some time off to recharge our creative juices.
Dogleg: Yeah, I was pretty busy writing poetry and running a March madness pool.
Crispy: ..and I had my side project with the Tank Tops and touring and all!
Chez: Speaking of the Tank Tops, Crispy your new album has been compared to "Hows your News" and has received high praise! Has S.V.U. and the Tank Tops ever considered recording together?
Dogleg: There are discussions in the works about a joining of forces. I'm just not sure if the world is ready for such a tour-de-force!
Chez: Oh! It would be a dream come true for me! (laughter)
Crispy: Sooner or later it's going to happen and we may even have a guest guitarist also! You just can't count anything out.
Dogleg: We aim to please the fans and if they want it eventually they will get it.
Chez: So what can we expect from the new untitled album?
Crispy: It's going to be high intensity, cleverly mastered and deliciously satisfying!
Dogleg:One word....Delectable!
Crispy: I feel it's one of our best works since "Y2K Compliant". Everything has a good beat and you can dance to it.
Dogleg:Dreamy..like Leif Garrett!
Chez: Whats in the future for S.V.U.?
Dogleg: Were going to be hitting the road with a full tour starting in Great Britain touring with 2 great bands: 'Diddle my Daddle' and 'The Cornbread Luvrs'.
Crispy: Yeah, it's going to be just awesome to be out again with the fans. I hope alot of people come out to the shows.
Dogleg: I'm in pre-production phase of getting a patent on the Tension Guitar. Were hoping to include it some upcoming songs.
Chez: Anything you want your adoring fans to know that they don't already?
Crispy: That I like pink drinks and not ashamed to admit it.
Dogleg: That I'm not Stephen King in real life and that turtle is best eaten on the night shift!
Chez: Thanks guys, can't wait to hear the new album!
