When I was a little girl, in about 1958, my mom clipped this story out of a magazine and glued it onto three sheets of cardboard. It became one of my favorite childhood stories, and I kept it nice all my life, though the glue she used eventually bled through the paper. As far as I can tell, the story has been out of print for fifty years. It would be a shame for it to be lost, so I've scanned it and put it here.
