First the writers from his show took turns on stage making jokes. Then Mike came on after the intermission. He mainly was interacting with the audience, but he did tell a few jokes too. One I remember cleary (mainly b/c that`s where we were on our trip just a few days before the show) was: they were up in Cochrane (ON) and it was 20ºF and they were freezing. So when they got back to the motel they were given parkas to wear. So when they got up the next day they put the parkas on and went outside, and it was 85ºF!
That`s the only joke I really remember. He picked on one guy (a bus driver) in the front, along with his wife, and his boss. Mike also picked on another guy off to the side who owned a laundromat. We kept wondering if he was going to pick on us, since we were so close to the front (one of the writers did pick on someone right in front of me).
After that he went of stage, but he came back in a few mintues b/c we weren`t going to let him get away that easily. So he came back and answered questions
After the show he signed autographs in the front lobby, and I got in line (of course). This is my big conversation with Mike:
MB: Hi, what`s your name?
JM: Jen
MB: How old are you?
JM: 15
MB: You in school?
JM: Yup.
MB: Good for you.
JM: You had Blue Rodeo on the show right?
MB: Yup. You like them?
JM: Yeah. So what do you think of them?
MB: They`re a really good band. I really like them. Here you go ((hands me back my autograph book))
JM: Thanks. Can I get a pic?
MB: Sure. Come around here ((go around table, I hand dad the camera all ready))
(((after pic is taken)))
JM: Thanks.
MB: You`re welcome. ((to all of us)) Thanks for coming.
And this is what he signed in my book: "Jen: stay in school, no drugs. Mike Bullard."
