Tamarack - 1999

This was my first (and only) Tamarack concert. Actually, it was a class trip.

Our teacher had been teaching us a couple of their songs, and then we went to see them in concert. Very few of the kids (out of two classes) liked it. I was one of them. (I think only 2 or 3 of us like it, besides the teachers.)

Tamarack is Canada`s best folk trios. The three members are: Alex Sinclair (guitar, madolin, vocals), Molly Kurvink (bass guitar, vocals), and Shelley Coopersmith (violin, madolin, vocals). The groups is from Guelpph, Ontario.

I`d definitely have to say that Elora Mill is my favourite song. My second favourite is Lancashire Lasses, my third is White Man`s Word, and my fourth favourite is Virginia Brand. All of their songs are good, and everyone has their own opinions.

The show was really good, no matter what the other students in my class my tell you. Unfortunately there was no encore.

Setlist:

  • White Man`s Word
  • Pawpine
  • Water Street
  • The Elora Mill
  • Lancashire Lasses
  • Virginia Brand
