Chapter 12
Well, it’s been a week, and I’m happy to say that Alex is back to her normal happy, cute,
wonderful, little self. God, she reminded me so much of her mother. If only she was here
to see what a sweetheart Alex is. Everyday when I see her, I can’t help but think of the
love of my life. At least I still had one love of my life still here.....Alex. I heard a knock at
the door, but before I could get there Nick helped himself in. “Why even knock?” I asked.
“You basically live here anyway!”
“I just like makin’ sure my God-daughter is ok.”
“Awwww, what a comeback.” Even though I knew it was true. You would’ve
thought that Alexandria was Nick’s child, not mine. “Hey! What’s everyone doing
tonight?”
“I don’t know. I just know that me and Megan ain’t doin’ anything.”
“How about we all go out and do something. I need to get out of this room.”
“WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY? Did you just say you wanted to go and do
something? Are you sure Alex’s disease didn’t rub off on you? You never want to do
anything anymore. Well not since...” He caught himself before saying something he
thought would bother me. And it would of. Well, I do have to admit it was true. I’d
been a real stick in the mud since Sara’s death. Well, I was in a good mood today. Sara
would have wanted me to go out and have fun. It’s not like I’m going on a date. That’s a
whole different story. I’m sure Sara wouldn’t have cared about that either, but to me, it
was just wrong.
“Yes, I know what I said. How about we all go out to eat, and then we can go,
hum, I dunno where.”
“It’s up to you. It’s your night!” I didn’t want to go bowling, because that was
the last group thing we did before Sara died, and that would have been torture!
“How about mini-golfing. I bet I could kick your ass!”
“We’ll see. Want me to tell the others?”
“No, I’ll do it.”
“OH, ok.” He left, and so did I. I walked into Kev and Amber’s room and told
them about it.
“That’s sounds cool Bri,” said Amber.
“Yeah, cuz, that’s sounds fun,” said Kevin. I left and went to the other guys and
girls’ rooms and they all agreed.....I think especially cause I, yes I Brian Littrell, was up to
it. ‘Whoa, I better get ready!’ I thought to myself.
