Chapter 19
“I’m gonna kick your ass!” I heard Alex say as we got into our cars. “I’ll go in the back
one so that I can pass all you turtles! Hahahahaha!” Geez, she was evil when it came to
go-carting. But needless to say, the first race, she did kick our asses, and left them in her
dust. I think I, like usual, got the put-put dog-mobile, which doesn’t go any faster than a
snail, until you reach a downhill and pick up some speed, but needless to say, what goes
down must come up. Oh well, we were having fun.
“Ah, yes! Wet track! Let’s go Brian!”
“Ok, a little over excited are we?”
“Nah, I’m just having fun spending my last night here with you.” We stared into
each others eyes for a few moments, then we both leaned in for a very passionate kiss,
until she backed away. “I’m sorry Brian. I, I just don’t want to rush things now. All my
other relationships started way to fast, and I don’t want to ruin this one either, because I
want this one to last a very long time.”
“I understand. I won’t do anything you don’t want to.”
“Thank you Brian. I wish more people were as understanding as you are.”
“Thanks, but I’m sure there are more understanding people out there than me.”
“You’re so humble about it too. That’s sweet.”
“Race you to the wet track.”
“You’re on!” I ran after her.
“Jesus, girl, you can run!”
“Let’s go big boy. Show me what you got and see if you can control the cart on
the ever so daring, wet track.”
“No prob. Let’s go.” It was a lot harder than it looked. It was close though
between me and her. I would’ve won if I didn’t keep running into the walls all the time.
“I am the champion, of the world!” said Alex, to the tune of ‘We Are The
Champions’. Gotta admit, she did kick a lot of serious behind. “What time is it B?”
“8:30. Spose we should get going?”
“Yep. Thanks guys for the great time.”
“No problem, girl,” said Megan.
“Anytime.”
“Cool, wanna drop me off at the airport?”
“Sure.”
