[Wehnimer's, Winter St.] A steady stream of shoppers and traders flows through this avenue. On the left is the grocer's shop, where provisions, from the humblest sack of flour to the rarest varieties of Gnollish mushrooms, can be bought. You also see a young kobold, a curious mystic and a gaudily colored tent. Obvious paths: east, west.

[Town Square, West] Ahead of you, in the midst of the square, stretches the cobblestoned main bazaar, its serpentine lanes abuzz with traders hawking their wares, bartering, and bickering. The freewheeling vendors in the bazaar provide a welcome alternative to the stylish and expensive merchants whose shops border the square. This young kobold is typical for a kobold. Smaller than a dwarf and even many halflings, it has ruddy skin and a hairless pate topped with small horns. Long-limbed for its size, the young kobold eschews any display of brute strength and relies on what agility it pretends to have. The young kobold stares back at you with beady little black eyes, sizing you up as a foe.

A young kobold growls, "Don't kill me!"

Gertilda says, "not gonna kill ya"

Gertilda grunts.

Geste grins.

You ask, "Not an animal, a toy. That is stuffed?"

Leydia asks, "what kind of animal?"

You cock your head at a young kobold.

Gertilda taps her foot impatiently.

You rub Gertilda.

Gertilda says, "yer not da smartest kobold in da village eh"

You giggle.

At the north end of the space, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. Several elven loggers loiter around the door of the Raging Thrak Inn, while the rowdy cheers of patrons and voices raised in songs of many sorts, from snatches of heroic ballads to blushingly bawdy tunes, beckon you to enter.
