The History of Flat Head Six

Flat Head Six has been playing/composing together for the past two years.
In this time frame we evolved from a cover band to an all original "fusion" Blues Band.
Originally, Rob and Mike started playing covers, with Ryan on vocals, and Steve on drums.
Ryan and Steve moved on and we came across an accomplished drummer named Chuck, and
a very creative Blues guitarist named Todd. Mike, Todd, and Chuck had all played in SOS.
And what do ya know? Just as we were ready to give up on finding a singer, Mike remembered
a singer/guitarist/songwriter that he had done some work with four years prior named Chris.
Chris jumped at the opportunity to join an all original Blues band. Chris' unique vocal
stylings, musical philosophies, and writing ability proved to be an asset to the band.
Chuck found himself busy with his business which took a very talented drummer away from us.
On Chuck's departure, we were lucky enough to find another drummer named John.
John came highly recommended by our vocalist, Chris.
We believe our music has the variety and soul to speak to everyone who appreciates anything
from Rock to Blues to Jazz. There's also a taste of Groove and Funk in certain arrangements.
So far we have been perfecting our work and recording in our project studio: Celler Studio M.
We are currently working on our first CD due for release in the Fall of 2001, details coming soon.
FH6 will be doing several shows this summer, some of which will be outdoor festivals.
I will have a concert schedule on the site ASAP!
