 Aresco, Inc:

We've been an Elkhorn business since 1984, albeit most residents don't know about us because we are a company that deals strictly in industrial equipment. We have sales all over the world, and here in the United States. We recently teamed up with HDR Engineering and Hawkins Construction to construct large refrigerated warehouses. John Lingelbach, Aresco's Vice-President , is a 1990 graduate of Elkhorn High. www.arescobuyersclub.com

 Bethany Lutheran Church:

During Christ's earthly ministry, Bethany was a community near the large city of Jerusalem. It was a place where Jesus often stopped to rest from his journeys and enjoy refreshment and fellowship in the company of his good friends Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Bethany Lutheran Church of Elkhorn is a caring community near the large city of Omaha. We are a gathering of Christians committed to living and growing together in faith. We believe that all hope and purpose come from Christ and that, whether young or old, married or single, we do best when we are nurtured in Christ's church. Because of this, we hope you will join us -- in worship, study, service and fellowship, and in the celebration and mission of our faith. We need you, and we offer you a caring place to live and grow in Christ's love. WELCOME! http://www.bethany-lutheran.com/

Carol Joy Holling Center:

Located just North of Mahoney State Park, The Carol Joy Holling Center offers a serene setting for Organizational Retreats and Christian camping experiences. Originally farmed by C.C. Holling, who was an Elkhorn businessman in the late 1800's and early 1900's, 318 acres of the farm (along with development funding) were donated to the Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (NLOM) in the late 1970's by Holling's son George (EHS Class of '20) and his wife Irene in memory of their daughter Carol. http://www.nlom.org/

Community of Grace Church:

Community of Grace is a member of the Association of Free Lutheran Churches (AFLC)

Here at Community of Grace we believe that the Lord has called us to be a "safe place" for people to grow in the Lord and His grace... looking together to the One who has it all together. Because of the painful, but extremely blessed Spirit-led birthing process of the congregation we believe that as a community of believers we understand pain and hurt. We intentionally are sensitive in our striving for this church to be a "safe Place" where the Lord's people come to grips with their sin and deep hurts, but ultimately experience God's forgiveness, great love and total acceptance through Jesus Christ. We want you to know that there is nothing "too bad" or "too great" that God can not forgive and heal. http://www.communityofgrace.net/

Elkhorn-Waterloo Assembly #38 is located in Elkhorn, Nebraska, and sponsored by Waterloo Lodge #102, and Luna Chapter #169. We meet every 1st and 3rd Monday at 7:00 pm at the Elkhorn Masonic Temple. Rainbow is a character building and service organization for girls 11-20 sponsored by Masonic Lodges, Order of the Eastern Star, or Amaranth. The lessons we teach are symbolized by the seven colors of the Rainbow. Red-Love, Orange-Religion, Yellow-Nature, Green-Immortality, Blue-Fidelity, Indigo-Patriotism, and Violet-Service. We believe that if a girl follows these lessons, while guided by Faith, trusting in Hope, and practicing Charity to all, that we will find the Pot of Gold. We encourage our members to be active in their churches, schools, and community. Our members learn self-confidence, public speaking and leadership skills. S & D Appaloosas

Antoinette Szymanski (Toni) (EHS Class of '86), is a Lifetime Member of the Appaloosa Horse Club and a member of the National Reining Horse Association. She began riding horses at the age of 10 when her family moved from the Chicago area to Elkhorn, Nebraska in 1978. While in Nebraska, she had the great opportunity to learn and develop by watching and learning from a variety of Quarter Horse and Appaloosa people. Toni credits the majority of how she thinks about training and raising horses from the help and knowledge she gained primarily from John Winnail and everyone at Winnail Training Stables (Waterloo, Nebraska) in the early to mid 80s. Our goal is to remain a small breeding operation, working with and showing our own horses unless we feel outside assistance is needed. We will be breeding first and formost for versatility. While we have watched with some dissapointment at the specialization of the breed, we feel we have a stallion that is not only versatile himself, but will prove to be successful at breeding an all around athlete with conformation and beauty. Joe is a beautiful mover and smooth as silk to ride with a personality and temeperment of gold. http://www.sanddappaloosas.com/
