I woke up to the phone ringing at 8:12am. I had to be careful not to wake Tay as I got up to answer it. "Hello" I said yawning.
"Amy you so aren't going to believe what happened!!!" Alana said excitedly from the other end.
"What?" I asked still somewhat tired.
"HE KISSED ME!!!!" she screamed.
"Brian?! I asked more awake now.
"Of course." she said still excited.
"Wow." I said in awe. I was so happy for her.
"It was so much more than I ever thought it would be." Alana said. You could just sense her melting into her chair.
"Let's talk about it over breakfast. Meet me at the Cafe' down the street in an hour. ok?" I asked.
"Okay God I can't believe it." She said as she hung up. I hurried to get in the shower but the door was locked. I knocked impatiently.
"What." I heard Isaac say while Beth laughed in the background. I realized what was going on so I just said
"Nevermind, sorry. " But I thought to myself ~Well it's
about time~
Instead I went to the other shower on the other side of the
luxurious suite. I took a quick shower and got dressed. I wore my daisy dukes, baby-blue baby tee, and my platform sandals. I had to look cute for shopping.
I woke up Care before I left so she'd be ready to go when I got back.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
"Well," I said sitting down on the side of her bed. "It seems that Brian kissed Alana last night and she wants to talk to me. She's so excited she can hardly contain herself."
"Okay, When are you going to be back?" she asked more awake now.
"About and hour." I said as I got up and left. I found Alana nervously smoking a cigarette.
"Well it's about time you got here." She said once she saw me.
"What are you talking about? I'm 15 minutes early." I said as I sat down next to her shaking my head.
"Sorry." She excitedly grabbed my hand "But he kissed me. I couldn't belive it. He told me that he used to think about me all the time since I wrote him my first letter. He walked me to my room and we just stood there for a minute. God knows I didn't want to make the first move. He then lightly kissed my cheek. He waited for my reaction then we both went to kiss each other. It was so perfect. He kissed so..."
"Romantically, sweetly, softly, sensuously?" I continued since she seemed to be looking for the right word.
"Yeah sensuously and passionately all at once." she said as she melted again.
"Do you think you guys have something?" I asked.
"God I hope so. But I don't want to pressure him or whatever y'know?"
"Yeah I do." I said and we laughed again at our own silliness. We ate breakfast discussing Brian, Taylor, love, and Nick. She was just about as shocked as me when I told her about Nick liking me and how Tay freaked out.
"Oh man we have to get going." I said when I checked my watch.
"Why?" Alana asked.
"We have to buy formal wear for the Charity Ball." I said getting up.
"Oh yeah we do." As we approached the hotel we noticed like a mob of Hanson fans outside.
"Oh no I have a feeling this is going to be...not good." I said. Alana looked a little confused.
"Why?" She asked.
"Well, they know that I'm dating Tay and they aren't too happy about it."
"Well what should we do?" Alana asked worried.
"Let's go to the far side door. We got inside without anyone from "the mob" seeing us. We got to my hotel room and got Care, Beth, Jessica and Diana. And Alana went to go get Jen. The guys stayed behind for two reasons. One: they had to practice for tonight and two: we wanted to surprise them with our new dresses. We called "the boys" to escort us outside. It was amazing how mad these girls were at us. But the boys kept us safe as we got into the limo.
"Wow you'd think that we killed them or something they were so mad." Alana said once we were in the limo.
"Told ya so." I said. The first store that we went into was Victoria's Fashions. The dresses were gorgeous. But I didn't find anything that was "me". But Beth did. It was a long dark blue dress with rhinestone flowers and vines on the top and down the middle front. Diana got one there too. It was just a simple, long black dress with a v-neck, spaghetti straps, and a line of rhinestones under the bust. We then went to Alyce Designs. That's where I found my dress. It was a long black dress, square neckline, spaghetti straps, fitted at top but flowing from the hips down. It had rhinestones on the straps, neckline and under the bust. In between the neckline and the
line under the bust were rhinestone flowers and vines. Care also found her dress there. Her's was a long white dress with a rounded, low neckline, and spaghetti straps. It too was fitted until the hips. It had a center slit to about one inch above her knee. Alana found her dress at our next stop which was at Belle's Boutique. There she found a long black dress with little rhinestones flowers scattered about it. It had a high rounded neckline and two slits on each side that went to her knees. It was fitted and simple but absolutely perfect for Alana. We then went to Gemini Bridal. There Jen found a long red dress with a rounded, low neckline, spaghetti straps, and embroidered flowers and vines over the bust with touches of rhinestones. Jessica didn't find any and she really liked Beth's burgundy and black dress so we decided on that. We had around 4 hours till the fundraiser so we headed back to the hotel.
"The mob" seemed to have gotten bigger for both Hanson and BSB. But luckily the hotel put up little guard things to keep them back and they had added security. "The Boys" also helped us get through. Taylor, Isaac and Zac, not to mention Walker thought they were going to be able to see our dresses but we hid them in black dress bags then made a mad dash for the guy's part of the suite. They'd see them soon enough.
The guys looked great. Taylor was in his black leather pants, white tee, and red shiny shirt over. Isaac was in his black leather pants, white tee, and green shiny over. Zac was in his black leather pants, white tee, and blue shiny shirt over. And Walker was in his tux. They were so sexy. :)
"Come on. Hurry up!" Zac whined. We were in the guys' room doing each other's hair and make-up. We all just laughed. When they finally stopped whining and we were presentable we opened the door. I think the guys went into shock as each of us came out. I don't think they could've lifted their jaws if they wanted to. After about three minutes of awkward silence someone finally spoke.
"Wow Amy you are so pretty." Mackenzie said as he came out of the kitchen. "You too mom, you all do." And he smiled. Then the guys started to talk all at once. Compliments flying at us 100 miles a minute. But we loved every minute.
"Okay well we better get going." I said as I took Tay's hand.
"You are so beautiful. You know that right?" he said as he kissed my cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too." We walked to the lobby and prepared for the mob. Us girls decided to stay towards the inside to protect ourselves. We divided into two limos: Tay, Zac, Isaac, Care, Beth and me in one and Mom, Dad, Jessica, Avery, Mac, and Zoe in the other. Alana and Jen got to ride with Backstreet.
Now, for the first time we were really being exposed to the media. I was really nervous and I think Tay sensed it. "Don't worry you look great and I love you. Smile for the cameras" We pulled up to the Charity ball and my stomach turned into knots.
"Are you ready?" Zac asked.
"About as ready as we'll ever be." I said smiling. The door opened and cameras flashed. They all waved and we all smiled. The Mtv VJ approached us. "Hi guys!!" He yelled over the screaming girls.
"Hey Jesse." They all said with us by their side.
"And who are these lovely ladies?" He asked. I couldn't help but blush.
"I thought everybody knew," Isaac started.
"These are our girlfriends." Zac said pulling Care closer to him.
"Good luck tonight!!" Jesse said as we walked away. We vaguely heard Jesse continue, "There you have it girls, straight from their mouths. All of the Hanson brothers ARE dating, and what gorgeous girls they are. Sorry ladies."
We entered the ballroom. It was gorgeous. There was a huge chandelier in the center of the ceiling and a buffet off to the side. It was just perfect.
"Wow" Care said.
"Wow is right." I said looking around.
"It's like something out of a fairytale." Beth said.
"Hey guys!!" Alana said from behind us. "Wow you look great." She said hugging all of us. Backstreet was with her and Jen. They looked equally nice. Brian held Alana close and AJ was flirting up a storm with Jen. And now that I knew Nick liked me I noticed that he DID look at me a little differently. So I tried to make it clear to him that I was there with Taylor. I snuggled closer to him, held him close. We all stood around talking for a while. Nick was coming on to me hard core and you could tell Taylor was about to hit him.
"Would you excuse me for a minute?" I asked. "Tay, honey would you come with me?" And I grabbed his hand as we walked away. We stopped infront of the stage and I gave him a look.
"He just makes me so mad!!" Tay said angrily.
"I know." I said holding him close and running my fingers through his hair. "But listen, you know I'm not leaving you-ever. NO one could ever make me leave you but you ok? Maybe if you just try to talk to him civilly. Don't kill him" I laughed. "Now come on. Let's get some dinner before you have to perform." I said as I took his hand and kissed him reassuringly.
The night consisted of a great meal, guest speakers for the American Cancer Society, and wonderful performances by many different bands. We all slow danced to love songs like: "God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You" "You're Still the One" "Have you Ever" and more. I held Taylor so close I thought someone would come to break us apart, but they didn't.
"Well hon, we have to get ready to go on." Zac said as he leaned in for one last kiss from Care.
"Wish us luck." Isaac said as he kissed Beth.
"LUCK!!" Beth, Care, and I laughed. They all started to walk away but then Tay came running back at me full force.
"I forgot something." he said once he reached me.
"Yeah you did." I said as I wrapped my arms around him. I kissed him for as long as possible without making them late. "Bye" I whispered.
They played the songs that meant the most to our relationships: "A Minute Without You" "I Will Come to You" "Thinking of You" "Stories" "Two Tears" and "Surely as the Sun". It was a short set but at occasions like these they usually are. They dedicated "A Minute Without You" to their fans and the rest to us. When they mentioned our names I felt so...I don't know but it was a great feeling.
We all got out of there a little after eleven. Zoe, Mac, and Avie were already sleeping but when Ike went to pick Mackie up he threw a fit. Half whining and half yelling, "No, Ikey, put me down!! I want Amy to carry me." No one was sure as to what to do so I shrugged, smiled, and opened my arms to him. He bear-hugged me and whispered "Thanks Amy" I think the media had a blast with it. It must have been real cute: Taylor walking out, his arm wrapped tightly around me and me carrying little Mackenzie.
