"Guys, how do you know which one to use?" I asked as Leesha, Care, Beth and I looked at Pregnancy tests.
"Amy, how am I supposed to know? I'm still a virgin." Care said, picking up a Clear Blue Easy box.
"Leesha, you've been through this before. Which one did you use?" I asked.
"This one." She said as she picked up an EPT test. "and if it comes out positive go to the doctor and get another, professional one done. If it comes out negative take another home one in like a week."
"Sounds like a plan." I said as I grabbed the test and made our way over to the check-out. "You know, I really hope I'm not."
"Why?" Beth asked.
"Well for one thing, Tay and I are too young. Secondly the guys have another tour coming up... not to mention the many interviews they have before they go on tour. Me being pregnant would be just too much, y'know?"
"Yeah I guess so." Beth said.
7:30pm
"Tay honey, are you ready?" I asked as I leaned over him as he sat on the couch.
"For what?" he asked. Obviously he was too into whatever he and Ike were watching.
"What I told you last night."
"Oh yeah." He said as he quickly got up and followed me upstairs.
"Just wait here for a minute." I said as I went into the bathroom. "Now all we have to do is wait." as I came out and placed the test on our headboard.
"Amy, you know that no matter how this turns out, that I love you and I'm here for you. Til the end of forever and a day." Taylor said as he held me close to him.
"I know." I whispered. I think that when the timer dinged neither of us wanted to look. So I just clasped his hand and looked. "Oh my God." I said quietly.
"What Amy? What does that mean?" Tay asked, trying to catch my gaze.
"It means you're a daddy." I said and he hugged me tight.
The Next Morning
10:45am
"So you never told me. What'd the test say?" Leesha asked me as we roller-bladed up to the gas-station.
"I always swore it would never happen to me." I said, shaking my head.
"Oh my god! You are!!!" I nodded and Alicia wrapped me in a huge hug. "I can't believe it!"
"You can't believe it?" I said mockingly.
"Yeah, this is me, not believing it." Alicia said laughing.
"Okay, I get it. You can't believe it. Neither can I." I saidas we again started rollerblading. "What am I going to do?"
"What do you mean?"
"I can't have a kid--"
"Well you aren't having an abortion! Not after our debate in english." We both cracked up laughing. You really ought to have been there.
"I know. I wasn't planning on it. But I mean, the interviews, the press, Mom in Mora, Mom and Dad here, Zac, everything-- What am I going to do?"
"Amy, don't worry about it! Everything will work out right. Okay?"
"Yeah I guess you're right. Well, here we are. My corner store." I said as I opened the door.
"Don't you have to take your blades off?"
"No, Ashley's working." And we walked in. "Hey Ashley. This is my dear friend from Mora, Alicia." They said their mutal "hi's". And I saw Ashley checking her out.
"So, Leesha, are you still with Keith?" I asked, loud enough for Ashley to hear.
"Um, yeah. Why?" She asked.
"Well maybe both of you would like to come down this summer. We'll have a blast." I said as I grabbed an orange juice and a box of Nutty bars. And made my way to the check-out.
"Hey Amy." Ashley said as he took my hand. "Where's your ring?"
"Taylor has it." I said as I pulled my hand out of his.
"So you guys broke up?" Ash said hopefully.
"No." I said, almost a little too quickly. "He wouldn't leave me like this." I then added quietly.
"Like what?"
"Nothing. Nevermind." Leesha said as she pushed me out the door. "So that's Ashley..." Alicia said once we got outside.
"Yeah, not bad eh?" I said as I looked back. "But not as good lookin' as Tay."
"No, definetly not as good as Tay." Leesha said as she looked back. Ashley was good-looking. About 6'1" hight, short brown hair cut like Leo's (Titanic), beautiful blue eyes and built like Taylor.
"But I wouldn't mind getting to know him." Alicia said slyly.
"Leesha!" I said, somewhat laughing. "What about Keith?" I asked more seriously.
"We're having some problems. Okay, a lot. We're kinda taking a break. This is a great vacation, I wish I could stay longer."
"Why don't you?"
"I have school, y'know." Alicia said.
"Oh yeah. Well, I'll think of something. Now let's go. I have my appointment in two hours."
An Hour & 1/2 Later
"Taylor, I'm so nervous." I said as I put up my hair. With Taylor behind me rubbing my tense shoulders. "Don't worry about it. God wanted us to have this baby. Everything will be fine. Ok?" And he kissed the top of my head. I loved him so much. "I suppose we should get going, eh?" I asked, getting up. "I'll go get Alicia. She's the only one that knows, right?" "Well, Beth & Care knew I might be, but Alicia's the only one I told that the test came out positive." I said grabbing Tay's Planet Hollywood sweatshirt. "I'll go get her then. Meet me out at the truck, okay?" "Okay honey." and I gave him a quick kiss. We got to the clinic, I took the test, and we waited. "Hey hon, can I ask why you're so worried?" Taylor asked as he sat holding my right hand, Alicia holding my left. "I'm worried now about telling Mom and Dad. Then there's my mom. And the travelling. Will that be good for me? And what about the press? And our friends?" "Amy, Amy, slow down! I don't know what to tell you about Diana and Walker, but I'm sure your mom will be fine with it. I mean, you're almost 18 and the father is definetly financially stable. And he loves you. Those would be her major concerns. Right?" Alicia asked, I nodded. "See? You'll be fine." "And Mom and Dad..... well, they're usually pretty cool about most things." "But pregnancy, Tay?" "I know. We'll just have to see. I'm sure our friends will be happy for us. Just look at Alicia. The press, they deserve to know. And if they don't like it? -- Fuck 'em! I don't know about the travelling. Mom traveled while she was pregnant with Zoë so I think it'd be okay. We'll talk to the doctor." Tay said and as he leaned over to kiss me the doctor called us in. Alicia waited for us in the lobby. The doctor took us in his office and sat us down. "Well Taylor, I never thought I'd see you in this position so early in life." "Yeah well..." Taylor said. "So is she for sure?" he asked, anxiously. The doctor looked at both of us. "Yes Taylor, she is." We couldn't contain our excitement. We got up and Taylor hugged me tight. I was crying. I don't know why but I was. it was so much differnt hearing it from a doctor. After we regained our composure, and my tears we dried we went to tell Leesha. "Amy, you look like you've been crying. Are you ok?" She asked, coming up to hug me. "I'm fine. Just pregnant." And I returned her hug. "Amy that's great!" And she let me go and hugged Taylor. "Congratulations!" "Thanks." They released and he hugged me again. "God Amy, I love you so much." "Well, where should we go? We have like, 3 & 1/2 hours 'til supper -- which is when, I'm assuming, we're telling everyone." I said as we walked out. "Supper's fine. But honey, don't you have to talk to Zac about something?" Taylor said. "Oh yeah! I should talk to him before we tell everyone else. I could just see him throwing a fit and bringing up the kisses. Shitty, shitty way for Care to find out. "No kidding." Leesha said.
