a record month for airigami
Welcome to the fourth issue of the Airigami Newsletter, where we attempt to keep you up to date with what is happening in the world of Airigami.
This month has been the biggest month yet that we have experienced, with enormous growth in the Airigami range of models. We have added 167 new models to the collection in October alone (more than double the next biggest month), bringing the total to 382. We also reached another milestone, with the America West Boeing 757 in the special Ohio color scheme marking the 300th contemporary airline design to be added to the collection. Among the new models, two new aircraft have made their debut - the Aerospatiale-BAC Concorde and the Lockheed L-1011.
Of note to our members, a few changes have taken place. Firstly, we have created a separate terminal for aircraft, airlines or color schemes since retired. Previously, Airigami Classics were divided up between the main terminals and often shared pages with current airliners. Now, these classics can be found at Classic Terminal One, which is accessible from the Classics drop-down menu on the Airigami home page. We will also be opening another new terminal sometime in September, especially for regional aircraft and regional airlines - stay tuned for further updates concerning the introduction of this new line of models. Secondly, we have renovated the Picture Gallery. We encourage all our users to send us photos of their completed Airigami models so that they can be showcased in the gallery. We have also added a small fraction of our personal collection of real airliner photos to the gallery, and we happily present these for public view. The picture gallery can be accessed from the 'Resources' drop-down menu on the Airigami home page.
As our membership list grows, we begin to be more and more curious as to where our members come from. We encourage all our users, members or not, to use the Guest Map, which can be found on the Airigami home page. Put an electronic pin on the map to show us where you are from!
I hope that Airigami continues to bring as much joy to others as it does to me.
James Messner, Airigami founder and designer
this month's highlights…
The record expansion - 167 new models, including large fleets from, well, lots of airlines. In previous months, we have provided a picture of every new model for the month. This month, given the huge number this involves, we will simply show the highlights.

The release of Airigami designs will be relatively random, however we welcome any requests from Airigami users who would like to see a particular aircraft or airline featured on Airigami. Simply e-mail us or go to our website and fill in the appropriate form describing what airline and/or aircraft you would like.
The Airigami concept, designs, pictures, content and website are all Copyright © James Messner 2002.
This does not mean that people are prohibited from using the blank templates and making their own designs. Just don’t claim it was your idea – and don’t profit from it. That would make you a bad person. We keenly await to be e-mailed designs created by Airigami users, and we also much anticipate receiving photos of fully constructed Airigami aircraft. We would like to feature such designs and pictures on our website.
