The APA would like to share some recipes this month for the
Book of shadows entry, so we all can remember that food
can be as magical as gems and herbs and chants.

__ Tsalagi Wadulisi Selu Gadu (English translation; 'Cherokee Honey Corn bread') __

4 cups of yellow cornmeal
1 cup self rising flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup honey
2 cups whole cut corn
2 eggs

Mix all items together, Form doughy batter into little
round (wooden spoon-sized)balls.
Fry in butter or butter flavored shortening for about 2
minutes on each side, until golden brown.
(Note: orginally bear fat would have been used instead
of the butter, eggs, and milk.)

---------------------

~simplest fudge~

1 bag chocolate chips
1 bag peanut butter chips
1 can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
1 cup (or more, by preference) pecans or walnuts

Mix eagle brand milk with both bags of chips,
microwave for three minutes on high, stir until
chips are smooth and melted, add nuts. You can
put it in whatever dish you want, my dad wanted
it thin, so she spread it out on a sprayed cookie sheet,
I'd likely use waxed paper, makes clean up easier.

Ginger's No-Bake Cheese Cake:

Add together one pack of softened cream cheese and one
box of powdered pudding mix,(Cheese cake flavor pudding
or Chocolate pudding work great, Coconut Pudding is a
good alternative!) and one cup of milk. Blend well (
This works best with a mixer or blender, not by hand)

Pour into a gramm cracker crust. Chill for one hour if you
can wait that long! best plan is to make 3 or 4 at once...
they go fast!
