THE FANTASY LEAGUE JUDICIARY PROCEEDINGS AND PANEL

The Fantasy League has overhauled it's judicial proceedings for the 2001 season after looking at ways it can improve itself.A new panel has been appointed to the judiciary.

PENALTIES FOR BREACHES OF MISCONDUCT RULES STIPULATED IN RULEBOOK

A player is guilty of misconduct if he:
a)trips,kicks or strikes another player
b)when effecting or attempting to effect a tackle,makes contact with teh head or neck of an opponent intentionally,recklessly or carelessly
c)drops knees first on to an opponent who is on the ground
d)uses any dangerous throw when effecting a tackle
e)deliberately and continuously breaks the Laws of the Game
f)uses offensive or obscene language
g)disputes a decision of a Referee or Touchjudge
h)re-enters the field of play without the permission of the Referee or a Touchjudge having previously temporarily retired from the game
i)behaves in any way contrary to the true spirit of the game
j)deliberately obstructs an opponent who is not in possession

The following penalties shall apply for offenders found guilty:

A-3 matches
B-1 match
C-5 matches
D-3 matches
E-1 match
F-1 match
G-3 matches
H-To be referred to an independent committee
I-To be referred to an independent committee
J-No sentence

Grades are assigned to charges in the following manner
GRADE 1:Accidental with no malicious intent-instant reaction

GRADE 2:Accidental with no malicious intent-player loses his temper

GRADE 3:Accidental with no intent to hurt

GRADE 4:Accidental with intent unclear

GRADE 5:Intent to maliciously damage

Clubs may appeal a sentence handed down by lodging an appeal againstthe citing by the following Monday by 5-00pm.If no appeal has been lodged,a hearing will take place on Tuesday.If a club wishes to appeal the decision by the panel,it has until the immediately following Wednesday by 7-30pm otherwise the decision will stand.On all appeals,if they are successful,the charge will be dismissed.If the appeal is unsuccessful,the player shall be immediately imposed with a ban according to the above gradings.
