From the northwest state of Baja California, she’s one of the most famous actresses of Mexican television.  You probably had seen her as the most terrible and perverse villains in the most popular soap operas. That edition was full of irregularities. Miss Mexico City would get very angry when she didn’t get into the top 5 crying “Mom!!! This is the biggest fraud of all times” since the pageant organizers promised her the crown. Miss Mexico City, Ernestina Sodi (Tommy Mottola’s sister in law) would later write a book telling all her story. By the other hand, Felicia Mercado (Miss Mexico) was very criticized for being blonde and blue eyed, therefore they painted her hair in black.
