Morahambi Reviews

Here are a few reviews from some newspapers and Mags

(((reverb))) review- Stephen Richardson,Aug '99

Morahambi,self-titled(independant)> It's refreshing to review a band from New Brunswick with an original sound instead of the trite Franglais offerings I've had the dubious honour of reviewing in the past. Morahambi (formally Full Circle) has a hard-hitting rock tapestry with unique sound and texture. Songs like the seductive but trudging "Shadows" bring the listener to a musocal rest area after an exciting road of crashing rhythms and snake-like melodies. And it's not long before the band continues agaiin with diverse tunes,an incredible vocal punch and sweet guitar sound.-Stephen Richardson

Aquinian Article-Valerie Abbott

Morahambi: Local band makes good by Valerie Abbott The Aquinian Morahambi seems to be the lucky name for four guys from Fredericton. They originally started a band called Schizophrenia in 1997, and played cover tunes at their shows. Then, in 1998, they began writing and performing their own music, and they changed their name to Full Circle. As it turned out, the name Full Circle had already been used by another group. So Pat Pelletier, the vocalist, came up with the name Morahambi. "It's just a name I made up from the top of my head," he said. "We went with it for the originality." Morahambi plays all original music, described as rock alternative, a sort of harder edge music. Their self-titled disc, which was released in April 1999, features 10 original songs. One of their songs will also be featured on a set of compilation discs to be released by Meathead Records in the year 2000. With the release of their album, Morahambi continue to play shows throughout New Brunswick. They play mostly out of town shows, including shows at universities and several festivals. In Fredericton, they played at the UNB Orientation Week concert, opening for Thrush Hermit and I Mother Earth. Since the show, their popularity in the area has risen, and the sales of their disc have gone up. Their album can be picked up at music stores around Fredericton. Morahambi's next show in Fredericton will be on November 18 at the Cellar.
