Stalking Fox

The method outlined below lends itself readily to the development of an animated storybook. The programmes are freely available on the Internet. Please do a Yahoo! search for the programme name with 'freeware' and 'download'.

The animations were produced using Satish Kumar's Winmorph, which morphs one image into another and separates the frames and Movies12, which produces animated gifs from the resulting frames. Winmorph comes with two examples of a fox for morphing, one where the right leg moves and one where the left leg moves.

The first fox was produced using only one of Winmorph's motion sequences. The resulting frames were combined with Movies12 gif animator. Only 5 frames from the 10 were used.

The second fox was produced using both motion sequences from Winmorph. Again, frames were separated and then combined with Movies12. This time only 4 frames from the 20 were used, giving a quicker action and now the left leg can be seen to move in front of the right leg.
