They have been a wonderful family winning every thing in front of them including winning the very first car and pigeon loft to be flown for from Lerwick in 1990, flying in "The North Road Championship Club" after a ten day holdover; winning 4th and 16th open , plus the two bird loft nominating just one bird to win the car and loft, plus winning over £850.
The sire of the pigeon that won 2nd open in the same race, was bred by me, a pure vandevelde. I sent seven birds to this race which was quite a hard race for some birds. I had all my 5 other birds home the following morning. The winner of the race got only 1 bird home out of 13 sent and has never seen another bird since.
