Fernand Desbuquois asked me too sell him a pigeon which he had sold at the Blackpool show,this pigeon is a full brother to "Roger" the grand father of the 2006 Barcelona national winner and 2nd international. Of course I refused to sell this bird, choosing instead to give him back the blue cock as a gift. I called this bird "Golded Eye", I paid a large sum for this cock plus two young birds which were bred from the daughter of a kings cup winner and and a gold medal winner at 500 miles plus, so I only had time to breed myself six young birds from him before sending him back to Belgium. But all the six young birds from "Golded Eye" have bred good distance pigeons. The Golded Eye was sold at the Blackpool show in the U.K. by the Desbuquois and they written on the back of the pedigree that he was a very important pigeon and that was a very true statement.
Fanciers should note that the Desbuquois family only sell good pigeons in their sales, they don’t sell rubbish. I can name quite a number of top fanciers in the U.K. who have been put up top performances in the U.K. nationals with these birds. Fernand promised me in a telephone call that they would breed six young birds as a gift in exchange for the "Golded Eye" but he died before he could keep his promise to me.
