My fiance bought Gizmo for me when he was about 5 months old.
He was the cutest creature I had ever seen and I immediately fell in
Love....my baby.
To make a  long story short we spent a fortune turning a large
curio cabinet into a mansion for my baby.  I should have realized that his
mansion would have been enough but I couldn't bear to leave him in it very
often.  We bought him a mate...Gidget.  It took two long, grueling months
before they got along, but all went well.  They played so happily that I
could watch them for hours.  I "Gizmo-proofed" the apartment and let them play
all night long outside of their house.  One night we fell asleep on the couch
to and woke at around 9 am to discover Gizmo was nowhere to be found.  To this
day I have no clue what happened to him.  I posted flyers throughout the
entire apartment complex and even in local stores and on the apartments
information channel offering a $300 reward.  Nothing.  I bought a small male for
Gidget (Cosmo) and they hit it right off.  He is definately not the same as
Gizmo.  Gizmo was also special as he had a white tipped tail.  I thought my
life was over when he disappeared.  To solve the problem of them playing
unsupervised again if I should fall asleep, we bought a two bedroom apartment and
they now have their own room.  It is "Gizmo-proofed" in every way you can
imagine and is full of toys and ropes for them to play.  Somewhere though, I
went wrong thinking that Gizmo had no way to get out.  Be very careful
where you let them play.  I will always look for Gizmo and never forget my
baby.......he's somewhere!!!!!  I live in Olympia Washington and if you have
