I have had my first SG Marcy for 2 years now. She has always been an affectionate, playful, sweetie. The vet said she's the most tame he's ever seen. I got her a companion after a few months. Jordan was a year old female, from a private owner who never took time to socialize her. They didn't get along at first, but they learned to love each other. Although Jordan never bonded with me and still bit me any time I tried to give her a treat, she would jump on my shoulder for a short ride, and my bf and I loved her.
A few nights ago we had a terrible accident. The dogs were sleeping in the kitchen, because it was very cold that night (very unusual where I live). I know I should have know better, been more careful etc., but the dog got a hold of Jordan and killed her instantly. I never thought my dog would do that. The SG’s have their own room where we let them run around, but must have gotten out while I was feeding them.
Now my Marcy is sad, and isn’t playing or eating much
even though I’m trying to spend a lot of time with her, but she’s sleeping
too much. She’s also started barking in the middle of the night,
because I think she’s bored, so I go in to see her, but she just runs in
her box. I turn the TV on to keep her entertained.
