I just wanted to let everyone know that you must always
be careful, and to remember to lock the doors of the cage when you leave.
I made this mistake in my dorm room at school. My sugarglider, Sugar
when realizing that the door had been left open went out to play, the only
problem was that I wasn't there for her to play with, so she went underneath
my door out into the hall to see what all the noise was all about.
That noise was the girls coming home from a wild night of partying.
Unfortunantly when the girls saw her they freaked and called security.
Security came and threw her in a garbage sack, and took her to all the
other dorm rooms to show her off and play with her, and finally decided
that they were going to keep her, because, although nobody knew what she
was, they realized how beautiful, exotic, and valuable she was. (keep
in mind this whole time I was away from the dorm and did not know what
was going.)
The next morning when I came home,
I realized that she was missing and freaked out. I franticaly ran from
door to door, asking everyone if they had seen an animal running around,
and they all said yes, and told me about the comotion of the night before.
When I finally found out where she was, I found her very dehydrated and
exhausted from a wild night. So I want to stress how important it
is to check to see if the doors are locked, and if your not going to be
there that night with your sugarglider have someone check on them.
