JON RANARD:

A member of the Screamers from 1983 to 1987, Jon spent 13 years as a freelance arranger, clinician, director and performer. He served as the Assistant Director of the Purdue University Music Department, as well as the full time Music Director at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lafayette, Indiana.

In July of 2004, Jon returned to Nebraska to assume the role of Director for the Scarlet and Cream Singers. Still adjusting to life back in the Husker nation, Jon is honored and privileged to be a part of tonight's celebration.

Suzy Schulz will be accompanying Jon this evening.

Suzy was a member of Scarlet and Cream from 1974 to 1975. She graduated from UNL in 1976 and began teaching music in the Lincoln Public Schools. She and her husband, Jim (also a former member of Scarlet and Cream) moved to Grand Island, where both worked as music teachers for 5 years.

Moving back to Lincoln in 1983, Suzy and Jim have continued their teaching careers in the Lincoln Public Schools, and also remain active as musicians in different combos throughout the area.

Suzy and Jim have a son, Nathan, who is a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
