If I don't have you

~*Chapter 15*~

"Gosh, how could I have been so stupid?!" Ali asked herself as she put on some lip gloss in the bathroom. "It was probably some dumb prank. Who would admire me? Well I may as well not make a bigger fool of myself than I already have." She cried, feeling bad for herself. "I'm going home," she sighed.

On the way out of the restaurant, she glanced over at the table the guys were sitting at. All the guys were chatting loudly while eating their meals, while Nick sat with his head lying on the table, his food completely untouched.

Ali walked past as she hung her head down toward the floor.

"Well, I guess we failed..." Lisa said sadly from under the table. She got up and brought chairs over for her and her friends.

"Guess Nick's doomed to be a zombie forever," Lianne said. She looked over at Nick. He was so depressed that he wasn't paying attention to anyone or anything going on around him except Ali.

All of a sudden, Ali turned around and walked towards Nick. He glared up at her, his head still lying against the table. Nick looked at Ali head to toe and started drooling. "If you think you're gonna win me back with those flirtatious glances you've been sending me all night, then you're wrong, Mr. Carter," Ali said slyly. "And buying me a good meal isn't going to help either." She sat down and started eating Nick's untouched food.

Everyone glared at her in disbelief. "And wearing your hair the way I love it, wearing the cologne that drives me crazy and wearing my favorite outfit of yours won't work either, " she said, playing with his hair. She stopped for a moment and stared at him, as they both exchanged eye contact. "Dammit, why do you have to look so GOOD?!"

Ali leaned in and kissed Nick for a long while. "And don't think that means I forgive you..." she paused. "But I do love you." She kissed the top of his head.

"Now let's go to the beach and let me hear that song you wrote me, ok?"

They walked out of the restaurant, arm-in-arm, both smiling from ear-to-ear.

"Haha, that's reverse psychology for ya!" AJ laughed as he paid the bill for the meal. -------------------------------------------------------------------------
