~*~Chapter 5~*~
Brian knocked on the door of Ali's apartment. Ali opened the door two minutes later.
"Oh, it's you." Ali said with a monotone voice.
"Can I come in?" Brian asked. Ali just stood there.
"I know you're pretty angry at me, and I don't blame you, you have every right to be mad at me, I've been a total ass to you, but just give me a chance to talk to you, please!" Brian pleaded.
Ali opened the door wider and Brian walked in and sat on the couch. Ali sat on the opposite side of the couch.
"I owe you a really big apology." Brian admitted.
"Yes you do.." Ali added impatiently.
"I'm really sorry Ali..I know friendship is about trust, but I was so harsh on you because I didn't want to believe you..I really thought I had something with Leighanne." Brian paused. "I guess it was just all a big act that she actually loved me too." He started getting tears in his eyes.
"Aww Brian, come here, I forgive you." Ali said softly as she hugged Brian and messaged her fingers through his soft, wavy hair.
"I was so dumb to think that someone would actually love me." Brian whimpered.
"Awww don't talk like that Brian!! You have millions of fans who would give their left hand to be with you. You'll find someone who will treat you right someday. You deserve so much better than Leighanne, honestly."
"Thanks Ali.."
"Now stop crying. You know Leighanne isn't worth any of those tears."
"You're right, Ali. Thanks for being there for me." He kissed her forehead lightly.
"No problem."
"Now what happened with Nick? Why is it that you never want to speak to him again?" Brian questioned.
"Oh Brian, it's horrible." She buried her face in her hands.
"What is it? Talk to me."
"I went into his apartment - used my key and walked right in - to get him back, and I saw him...I..." Ali burst into tears.
Brian hugged her tightly.
Ali tried to speak again
"I saw him on the couch, kissing some blond bimbo...." she blurted out.
"Oh my gosh Ali! I'm so sorry. I can't believe Nick would do something like that!"
"I know, I couldn't believe it at first, but I saw it with my own eyes." Ali said.
"I'll ask him about it if you want. Maybe there's some explanation."
"I hope there's some kind of flaw in what i saw, Brian, I really do." she said.
"Well I'll look into it. Just don't cry anymore, Al. I hate to see you cry. Now go get some sleep, it's really late."
"Ok, I will. Thanks for everything Bri, you're the best friend I could ask for."
"No problem, Ali. I'll see you later."
Brian walked out of Ali's apartment and closed the door. Ali went straight to sleep.
