I do..

Chapter 26

*nat*

It was four weeks later, and we found out that we were going to have twins. Nick was happy, he was going to be a father twice. Which is god considering I never want to do this again, I mean it’s wonderful, but if I have twins, fine, that’s it. As for me I’m scared because I have to now have a c section, which cutting me opening while awake doesn’t seem all that great. So I’m just worried about that.

Nick’s been home for about two weeks now, and taking very good care of me, he’s a sweetheart, whenever I ask for something, he comes and get it. I think he’s trying to make up for when he was gone, but I told him that it was a good thing. Men, something I will never understand.

We were sitting in our bedroom, we made his old room into a room for his mom or whoever was helping us that week. Sometimes his sisters would come and help, also Aaron came. Anyway, Nick was going threw the books of names while I was sitting there sowing something for the babies. Nick looked at me and plopped on the bed. Right next to me.

“Something up Nick?” I asked. He smiled. “We need to pick out some names, my mom wants to know what are we going to call these babies.” he said kissing my stomach.

“Hmm, well I was thinking that we could call one of them if there is a girl, which I want either Lexi or Mackenzie.” I said. He made a weird face. “Mackahoo?” he said. “Nat, No, Lexi sounds good. What about a boy?” he asked. “Well I was thinking that we can each name one, if there’s a girl it’s Lexi something, and a boy it’s whatever you want. If they are the same sex, then you take the oldest one and name it and I’ll take the youngest.” He smiled and kissed me. “I like the way you think baby.” he said pulling me down for a sweet kiss.

Two Months Later..

Nick walked into the room, wearing blue scrubs. I smiled at him. “Hey.” I said. Waiting for the doctors to come in.

“Hey you. You okay?” he asked for about the millionth time that day. “Yeah. Now stop. You look good doctor Carter.” he smiled. “I could never do this stuff, cutting people, I’ll stick to the DJ job.” he said laughing. He held on to my hand as the doctor walked in.

He told us what was going to happen and drew the curtain. Nick and I sat there and talked, both of us to scared to know what was really going on. About an hour of doing whatever they were, we heard a baby’s cry. Nick smiled at me as we both looked up. “That’s our baby.” he said. I smiled. I was too tired to tell him anything mean.

A little later on, after we heard another cry, a doctor gasped. We both looked at each other scared. “Mr. Carter could you come over here?” one of the doctors said. Nick got up and mouthed to me ‘I’m sure everything will be okay’. I smiled, trying to hide how worried I really was. A few seconds later, Nick was on the floor. He fainted.
