I do....

Chapter 4

*Nat.*

The next day, I sat down at the kitchen table, after I plopped down the address book in front of me. Nick was getting an apple and looked at me.

“You don’t have to do that today, do you?” He asked sitting down next to me.

“I might as well do it. I mean, I have to tell my dad some time.”

“We can just get married so you don’t have to.” He said with a smile.

“No, Nick, we’re not going to get married just because I’m scared to talk to my father.”

“Awe, poor Nat, come on baby, lets’ go in the living room and you can lean on me, while you talk to him.” He said picking me up and carrying me to the couch. He put me down. I looked at him.

“You like to do that don’t you?” I said. Picking up the phone.

“Yeah. Now, dial. I’ll be here.”

“Alright, here goes.” I said as I dialed and he pulled me closer to him.

“Hello?” the voice said. I recognized it as Jodie, the women he was seeing since him and my mom split up.

“Hi, Jodie, is my dad there?” I said.

“Yeah, hold on Nat.” She said.

My Dad and her were seeing each other for awhile, I only met her a few times, she was nice, But I don’t know.

I put my head against’s Nick’s chest, and he let out a moan. Okay, that wasn’t weird at all NO!

“Your going to give me an erection.” He whispered into my ear.

“Down boy.” I said when my dad came on the phone.

“Hello?” He said.

“Hi Dad.” I said looking at Nick who just held me closer.

“Hi sweetie, what do I owe this phone call for. Shouldn’t you be busy with your mother getting all the wedding things?”

“Yeah, well that’s what I called about the wedding.”

“What’s the matter? Did he dump you or something?”

“No dad, we both just decided not to get married... this year at least. We feel we are to young.”

“Wow, that’s something. But if you both feel that way then I guess it has to happen.” He said.

“Are you mad dad?”

“No, not at all. I’m kind of happy for you.”

“Oh, so your not coming down are you?”

“Well, yes, I took off a month and I would like to meet this guy that my daughter.”

“Alright, you want to stay here?” I asked.

“Yeah, if you have another room.”

“Yes, we do.”

“Alright, then we’ll stay there. I’ll see you in a few weeks.”

“Alright dad.”

“Oh yeah, don’t worry about calling my family, I’ll call. Tell your mother that.”

“Thanks Dad.”

“Alright, bye.”

“Bye.” I said and I hung up the phone.

I looked at Nick who was in his own world then.

He looked at me, after snapping out of it. “What?” He asked.

“Did you get lost or something?”

“No, I was just thinking.”

“About?”

“Stuff, about how you were talking to your dad.”

“Okay.”

“I mean....” And the conversation went.
