Chapter 10
“You were supposed to tell me why you were in a pissy mood.”
“I don’t know I mean its strange I.. I.”
“What Nick? Come on tell me what’s going on. You know you can tell me anything.”
“I know, buts its strange. I can tell you but you might get pissed off at me.”
“How can I? I’m the one asking you to tell me. I promise I won’t get mad.”
“You promise?”
“Nick are you trying to stall?”
“No, I’m not. Hold on.”
“Okay.”
“Aaron get out! I’m on the phone! Aaron get out!”
Nat heard before hearing Nick running after Aaron. She started to laugh when Nick came back.
“What’s so funny?” He asked.
“You and your brother.”
“Were so funny?”
“Yeah, very.”
“I’ll get you back later.”
“Sure you will.”
“The car. No doubt I will.”
“You’re a loser Carter.”
“What’s up with the carter crap?”
“Its what Drew calls you I think its kid of cute.”
“Sure Nat. Just cuz you got some guy doesn’t mean I have to be involed.”
“Okay gee Nick I’m sorry so what about this promise you were going to tell me?”
“Shit I gotta go Nat bye.”
“Nick!” He hung up before he told her.
Nick lay back in his bed wondering why he couldn’t tell her anything.
Aaron ran in the room when he heard the phone hang up.
“Please Aaron I want to be alone.”
“But I want to play Play station!”
“I promise if you leave now I’ll let you play all day tomorrow.”
“Okay what’s the matter Nick?”
“I just need to think”
“Okay I’ll tell mom.”
“Tell her I don’t want any phone calls.”
“I will.”
