Later that evening Nat was at home reading when the phone rang. So she picked it up.

“Hello?”

“Hi, is Nat there?”

“That is I.”

“Oh, hello Its Drew.”

“Hi, so what are we going to do about the dance?:

“What time does it start?”

“Seven.”

“Okay, Well I have to help my family move some heavy things in so I’ll meet you there say eight?”

“Sure. I’m going to have to be there for decorating, but I’ll be there.”

“Okay cool.”

“Yup.”

“So you and that Carter guy going out?”

“How many times do I have to tell you no?”

“Okay, I’m just checking. I mean I saw you two talking at lunch and I was thinking if I was doing the right thing.”

“Oh, You are were just friends.”

“Okay, just checking you could never be to sure about somethings.”

“True.”

“So what did you want to do after the dance?”

“I don’t know whatever.” Nat’s phone beeped for another call. “Look Drew hold on I have another call.”

“Alright.”

She clicked the phone over.

“Hello?” She said.

“Hey you.”

“Hey Nick.”

“So how are you doing?”

“Okay, Nick can you hold on?”

“Sure.”

“I’ll be right back.”

“I heard you the first time.”

“Okay.”

Nat switched back.

“Hey Drew?”

“Sup?”

“I gotta let you go.”

“Okay I’ll see you at the dance. Or something.”

“Okay. Bye.”

“Bye.”

“Alright Nick. I’m back.”

“I heard you your strange. What’s up with that?”

“Nothin. I’m just hyper.”

“About?”

“The dance this weekend.”

“You’ve never been this happy about a dance before.”

“I don’t know.”

“Cause your going with Drew?”

“Maybe...”

“Ooooh.”

“Shut up.”

“Sowry.”

“It’s okay.”

“So...”

“So what happened between us.”

“Nothing. Why?”

“Cause, we used to be able to talk for hours about anything. Now we say one or two words. It’s well sad.”

“Then talk Nat.”
