Stardate 52039.4 Kasper Weis finally awoke, his head actually better than the previous night. On his last mission, he had contracted some kind of virus that put him out of commission for the past couple weeks. This sort of irked him, because he missed all of the fun of exploring, but what was he to do? He was ordered to his quarters, so he had to make the best of the situation. When he wasn't sleeping, he was catching up on the latest events and history of this crew. Apparently, a lot of weird stuff was going on lately, and it was starting to sound intriguing. Kasper felt good enough to do a little exploring, but wanted to make sure he wouldn't be nagged to return to his quarters, so he called up the Doctor. After a little conversation, the doc agreed that it was at least all right to go wandering around for a little while. The first thing he did was check the mess hall, and found various people to talk to and catch himself up on the latest gossip. Then he found himself in the brig. The guard, which he recognized to be Lieutenant Heaton, asked what he was doing here. "Well," Kasper said, "I wish to speak to Kyra." "The Captain specifically said she is to have no visitors," Lieutenant Heaton said. "Why? What happened?", Kasper asked. "She attacked the Captain, haven't you heard?" "Actually, no, I've been stuck in my quarters for the past couple of weeks." He quieted his speech down to a whisper, "Look, she trusts me, maybe I could reveal her intentions." "You know I can't allow that, Kasper," Heaton said, "but if the Captain were to allow it." "Look Heaton, I just want find out what's been going on. Come on, just remember what happened on that last away mission you got to go on," Kasper tried to reason. "Don't bring that up, please." Heaton sighed, but seemed to think for a moment, then looked back to Kyra, who sat in her cell. "All right, but only for a moment. If you find out anything, tell me, but if not, then this never happened." "Thank you, now I owe you one!" Kasper stepped past the guard and over to the cell where Kyra looked up. "Who are you?", she asked. Kasper smiled at her, "My name is Kasper Weis, but everyone calls me Ghost." Kyra looked into his eyes, and saw something she just couldn't quite grasp. There was an innocence to be found, a trustful nature. Maybe she could trust this young man to expose the truth about the Captain.
