My Aaron Encounter

Let me set the scene for you... At 9:30am my friend Ashley, my mom and I went downtown to line up for a Aaron Carter concert that would be starting at 6:00pm. My mom was waiting with us downtown cause it's dangerous there. There was a rumour going around in the crowd that 5 "unknown" band members were touring with Aaron, and since my mom really likes Kevin, and there was a chance it might be BSB she decided to stay for the concert and she got a ticket. We were 15th in line and they can fit 30 people in the front row. My mom started talking to some security guards that were keeping the line from going on the road. One guard brought my mom into the restaurant attached to the club and got her a hot chocolate. My mom told him that she used to work in this building when it was a fabric store. He said "well I'll tell you what, if Aaron is in the mood for giving autographs after the show I will bring you backstage, how many kids do you have with you?" my mom said 2 and he said ok. Later before the concert started the three of us were at the front squished against some other security guards. My mom saw this guy again and waved with the one free arm she had. He came over and asked if she was all right. She said not really and told him that we are squished. He said "Ok, I am your nephew Trevor and your my aunt...?" "Marg" my mom said. "You only have two right, no friends will follow?" "No," "Ok come with me." He pulled us behind the counter and we stood on top of it. We had awesome seats! They stopped the concert after the second song because the crowd was so chaotic, the guards could barely hold the 660 people. They called the police and fire department and started the concert an hour later. Between that time, I met Aaron's choreographer, dancer, and bodyguard. Stupid ME never got their autograph, well I never REALLY had a pen or an extra piece of paper, but I never thought of it any ways. Leslie performed once the second part started. We where about 6-8 feet from Aaron, Leslie and Jane. After the concert (cousin) Trevor said he couldn't get us back stage, his hands were tied. So my mom went and BEGGED this one security guard who wasn't letting ANYONE else back. She told him the same thing that she told Trevor, and said that Trevor was her nephew. She asked if he couldn't spare 2 more girls? He said all right, so we went back, we were the last ones backstage. I walked up to Aaron and gave him the poster I bought during the hour break. He was about to sign it upside down, but then he looked at me and said, "You don't want it upside down on your wall do ya?", while he turned it around I answered no, I was soooo nervous! He asked me if I was from Here ... London and I told him yes and that I live over by the airport. He said "cool" in a young kid kinda way. I had a small magazine poster that I brought to the concert, I asked him if he could sign it too and he said "sure" in the same kid way. I told him that I really looked up to him and his bro for their sing talent and that I was getting a vocal coach and would hopefully make a album of my own in the next couple of years. He smiled at me and said "good for you, keep up your dreams!" Next was my friend she didn't say a word but a women who was standing beside her to make sure Aaron was ok said "look what they did for you!" and she pointed to the marker on both me and my friends face. He said "cool" in the EXACT same way. My friend smiled and watched him finish signing her poster. Once he was handing the poster back to my friend someone brushed past me, I thought some fan got backstage, but as soon as I looked, it was Leslie, she had needed a pen from Aaron and then she walked past me again and smiled, I was so surprised I just grinned! After we were both finished getting his autograph my mom said "Aaron, I work with mentally challenged children, and since we couldn't bring them, could you please give me a nice smile for them? It would mean alot to them!" He said "ok," and smiled, then RIGHT before my mom snapped the pic he stuck out his tongue and made that FAMOUS funny AARON face. I turned around to leave and I saw his mom, body guard, Choreographer Keith, and dancer Darrel eating, I would have gone and got their autograph too, but they were eating and Aaron needed to eat now so we had to leave so they could have some private time. As soon as we walked out the backstage door I cried, all the way to the car and all the way home (15 minute drive). I still can't believe I met him, and now since the show was stopped for an hour, everyone there gets to see him again in London this summer (August or September) for free. My pics turned out great, check them out below!!!
