Unadvised Crystal, Union and Anoki enter Aeon's holding cell while Polo, Fire, Epic, Rhythm and Ezel hold the four guards outside and monitor the area.
Union- The child.
Aeon- No child here my sweet (narcissistic) Why do you come to torture me when you have already taken my powers by using my own serum against me?
Union-Union- I don't come to hurt you, we want to help you. Me, Crystal and Anoki are here to heal you.
Aeon recognizes Crystal & Anoki suddenly as though blind to them before.
Aeon
Crystal- We are going to heal your mind, you are very ill Aeon.
Aeon- I am ill from the serum I am injected with. Release me and discontinue the drugs and I will BE FINE !
Anoki- Your mind is fractured into multiple personalities.
Aeon- (quiet 'normal Aeon') Lie (calmly) My mind is normal, I have only one personality, Aeon.
Anoki- You are not aware of the other two or more that exist in you.
Aeon- Then if that is so why do you bother talking to me? Kill me; end my disease.
Union- We can heal you!
Aeon- The last time you entered my mind I nearly killed you... I advise you not to take that chance again.
Crystal- There is an abused child inside of you, the innocent child you once were before you became so corrupt.
Aeon- That child is dead! The Confederation made sure of that.... I am what they made me.
Anoki- Hope is not lost and neither is the child. We will heal you with or without your aid.
Aeon- Beware of my wrath.
Anoki, Crystal and Union seat themselves on the floor before Aeon and then begin to focus on going into his mind. Crystal sets the mood and opens the doorway into Aeon?s mind.
Crystal- Aeon, try to open your mind?
Aeon- No such deal.
Crystal- Then I'll raid you.
Aeon thrusts back in his chair as Crystal forces herself into his mind.
Aeon- I'll destroy you!......... Beware.
Crystal- Ditto.... Come on Anoki, Union, jump in.
Aeon thrusts again as the other two venture into his mind.
They find themselves in a dark place swirling with vague thoughts all about and see the battle up ahead amongst the two dominant personalities. One personality is dressed in Red and the other in Black. They see the personalities wrestling about. The red personality is the dominant, highly aggressive and talkative persona who looks like a bulky body builder. The black persona is the regular Aeon but appears to be an older war veteran. As Union, Anoki, Crystal look about the memories swirling about follow them like puppies. The two quarreling personas are too involved in their battle to bother them.
In the distant they see a child dressed in white inside a cage over a fire. The child calls to them.
Child- My name is Blake... Have you come to help me....
They go near the fire and attempt to reach the child but the flames rise higher and scorch Anoki's hand. Crystal pulls Anoki back as the flames rise, almost burning the child.
Crystal- Watch out!!
Anoki- We have to release the child.
Union- He wasn't in the cage before... They must have done this to him.
Crystal- (to child) How do we get you out of here?
Child- I want to go home....
Union- We want to release you but we don't know how.
Anoki- Tell us how.
Child- The red man set the fire and the black man put me in this cage, he has the key.
Anoki- Why did they put you here?
Child- Because I spoke to you outside, they want to be in control. They fight for control.
Crystal- Have they both always been here?
Child- The black man was here for a long time. The red man came just a while ago...
(Child's eyes shift to Union) ...After you left.
Crystal- Well lets go get the key from black and make red put out the fire.
Child- Noooo... They are behind you!
Red and Black dash at crystal and Anoki and begin to beat on them.
Black- You have no power here
Red- I'll destroy you
Crystal wrestles with the black persona and Anoki with the Red one. Union stands watching, in shock.
Crystal- Aeon, give me your key.
Black- No!
Crystal- You know I am far stronger than you
Aeon- You sound like Noea
Crystal- Who?
Aeon- Noea (pointing to Red with his eyes)
Crystal- ...He is your opposite....
Aeon- Duhh!
Anoki is pushing off the bulky red body builder persona, who has his pinned.
Anoki- You're a tough cookie?
Red- Because Noea is the strongest of them all.
Anoki- You are the ugliest! I want to put out the fire and release the child.
Noea (red)- No. The boy gets what he deserves for speaking out.
Anoki- You would hurt a child? Burn him to death?
Noea- He is getting what he deserves.
Anoki- The boy is you. The three of you are Aeon shattered into pieces.
Noea- I'll destroy the boy, then Aeon.
Anoki- You can't exist without them.
Noea- I can, I can see your lie. You want to free him and have him control us and put us together again.
Anoki- You are one person, you should only be one personality.
Noea- There will soon be only one. I am the strongest.
Union interjects by kicking Noea and letting Anoki gain the upper hand.
Union- No, you are the worst, worse than Aeon.
Noea- Who are you? (looking up to Union)
Union- I am Union.
Noea- (laugh) well hello mother!... Thank you for creating me.
Union- I am not your mother!!
Noea- You are, You are.
Noea lets go of Anoki and approaches Union. He lifts his sleeve and shows a 'U' brand on his arm. Union backs away from him, fearful of his actions.
Noea- You see I am branded with your initial, mother.
Union- (faltering) I created you?
Noea- And I'll be the new Aeon. AEON OF DESTRUCTION.
Union- Then as your mother will you do as I ask?
Noea- Yes mother?
Union- Put out the fire under the child.
Noea- I don't want to.
Union- (with rage) Put out the fire as I told you!!
Noea- Okay, I guess...
Anoki is astonished by this turn of events. Noea puts out the fire by withdrawing a match and holding it near the flame. The Flame withdraws back into the match. Noea then gives the match to Union. Union places the match in her pocket.
Crystal is still wrestling with Aeon. Their battle seems to be evenly matched, neither letting up.
Crystal- I hate you Aeon!.. I know hate is a strong word but, I really hate you!
Aeon- That's nice.
Crystal- No more games. I'm tired of your stupid games.
Aeon- Really?
Crystal punches Aeon and knocks him out and takes his key from off his neck Crystal rolls Aeon off of her and gets up and goes to the cage and releases the child. The boy goes into her arms and she holds hi close.
Crystal- It will be okay!
Child- They are so strong.
Crystal- I know but, you belong together. Don't be afraid of them, your innocence makes you strong...(whispers in his ear) Be strong Blake.
Child- String.
Crystal- You are strong. Believe in yourself.
Child- But.
Crystal- Believe. (Crystal turns to Anoki and Union.)
We have to bring them together.
Union Coaxes Noea to get Aeon up off the ground and he does so. Crystal whispers something to the child and then puts him on the ground. He approaches the two other personalities and takes their hands. Crystal, Anoki and Union form a circle around then and focus deeply.
Lights beam out from the trio and Noea fusses back into Aeon and then the brightest light, surrounding the child consumes Aeon and a new Aeon is created wearing dirty white linens with a soft face. Aeon spins and absorbs all the floating memories back into himself. Then he stops spinning and speaks to Union, Crystal and Anoki with his new voice.
Personality- You have healed me.... Thank you
Anoki- Do you feel better?
Personality- (lifting sleeves) My scars are healed . (His eyes shift to Crystal) It was a cleaver thing you told the child.
Crystal- It worked. (winking at him)
Personality- Thank you (bends down and kisses Crystal on her cheek)
Union- (slightly jealous) What did you say?
Personality- 'Don't be afraid to Love'
Union-oh
Anoki- Well, since things are cleaned up in here, it is time we leave.
Personality- I'll remember what you did for me.
Crystal- Good... Blake?
Personality- Yes..
The three peackeepers withdraw from 'Aeon's' mind and wait for him to recover. Soon he wakes but is very tired. Aeon's eyes open with a whole new view of the world.
Crystal- Hello again, Blake !
Blake (Aeon)- I am ashamed of all the hateful things I did. I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you. I shouldn't have let myself be a puppet.
Anoki- You were ill, the Confederation and your life made you that way. Hopefully you won?t become ill again.
Union- I hope the N.A.E. might let you stay. Maybe you can become a Peacekeeper.
Blake-Not after everything I have done.
Crystal- No one is perfect.
Anoki- Not even me?
Union- You will need to rest... We'll try to get you off the serum.
Anoki- Yeah, I guess we'll have a lot of explaining to do.
