The Nations Allegiance of Earth, a decendent of the UN is father to the "Peace Keepers" project. Genetic samples were anonymously taken from different parts of the globe. From this a second set of three male and three female babies was produced. The fertilized eggs of the best minds of our world, injected with a genetically enhancing jelly would grow and combine to form super humans collectively called Peace Keepers. Soon the Peace Keepers will rise from the secrectcy of which they were raised and unite all the nations of our Earth.
The caretakers now find themselves having to teach the chilren all the skills they will need for when they meet the world. This includes education, in Math, history, literature, science, culture, and the Arts. Latin and English become thier spoken languages as they grow-up. They each learn a competative skill native to their ethnic homeland such as Fencing, Archery, Martial Arts, Pole, Bola, Crossbow, Boomerang, Fire twirling/batoon, rock climbing , hand combat, and Spear throwning. Also taught were skills in Search and rescue, survival, combat, and medicine.
------ Tuesday, January 23, 2063: Crystal and Anoki stand outside the Total Habitat House (THH) at Willamina's grave. They both stand silently looking onto the grave. Crystal places a white rose onto the ground infront of the headstone. Her and Anoki turn and leave, walking back up to the house. They arrive in time, as the birthday party for the five teens starts. They all enjoy cake with their gaurdians and little sister Chase before the presents are given out. Polo explains that the five of them have allready exchanged gifts amoungst themselves. Ezel adds that Chase too has allready given her gifts to them. "Chase used bright pretty colors, and her budding artistic talent, with a little supervision from myself to make unique tee-shirts." Equinox asks his guardians where the gifts from them are. S. Zelmal teases them by saying they haven't got them any. The teens stare her down then she asks Mr. Key to go get them their presents. Mr. Key assisted by little Chase go into the ajoining room and wheel in a wagon loaded with five large color wrapped gifts. Mr. Locklear and Mrs. Key pass out the presents. Overly eager Chase perches herself in front of the five teens as they sit on the floor to open the huge gifts. "Hurry, Hurry, open them!!", exclaims Chase,"See what you got!!." They tear open the paper and lift the lids to gaze upon their uniforms which they first mistake for dresses. Polo receives a Royal Blue uniform with a blue jewel set into the center of the breast and matching knee high boots and white tights. Ezel receives the same but in orange, Anoki in Red, Crystal in Green, and Equinox Black. "These uniforms are for when you go to the N.A.E. conference in Paris in five weeks", says Locklear. Chase becomes upset at the notion of her brothers and sisters leaving and runs into her fathers arms crying. He takes her out of the room. The conversation continues with out them.
---2 DAYS LATER: Crystal is in the study room doing her math on a computer. She keeps filling in the wrong answers and is about to kill the machine when Polo comes into the room. He greets her, she responds and asks where the others are. Polo says that ,"Ezel is out running, Equinox and Mr. Locklear climbing the mountain, Mr.Key and Sarah (Zelmal) are probably doing paperwork somewhere and that he is about to go meet Mrs.Key and Chase for Tai-chi practice." Polo adds ,"I suppose you should know where Anoki is since you two are the family telepaths and joined at the hip." Crys doesn't respond to the accusation and just tells Polo to have a good time at practice. After Polo leaves Crystal gets a Telepathic message from Anoki. He teases her by chanting ,"the rice is burning, the rice is burning" several times before she responds and leaves to go water the rice patty near the house, which is her job to care for. She forgetfully leaves the computer running.
-LATER: Crystal is dressed in a fishermans wetsuit like overhauls that go up to her waist as she is thighhigh in the soupy mud of the rice patty. She's finished watering the patty and is about to slogg her way out when she sees Chase come up to the edge of the patty. She is in a little pink dress and hugs her teadybear and smiles happily to Crystal. "Do you want to come in here with me!!?", asks Crystal to the girl teasingly. "No!!", Chase says abbruptely, before turning around and marching off back to the house, her pig tails bouncing with each stride.----Anoki stands upon the top of a hill in the clearing calling to his magnificent falcon as it flies through the air above him.
--On the mountain face, Equinox and Dr. Locklear are near the top. Equinox pulls a pair of binocculars from his pack and looks down into the clearing to see Anoki with his falcon soaring above him, he also sees Ezel running on the path at the edge of the clearing. He looks further to see Crystal in the patty and Chase turn in march back towards the house.
--Ezel is running along the path at the edge of the clearing and follows it as it forks through the trees and back tward the house. She enters the house from a side door that leads into the learning section of the giant complex. As she turns a corner Ezel runs into Sarah Zelmal who is wearing a lab coat and preoccupied with reading the notes she carries in her hands. Zelmal greets Ezel and orders her to the showers once seeing how sweaty she is. Ezel obeys and continues down the hall. Zelmal disappears into a classrom.
--Inside the classroom, Mr. Key is seated at a table in the corner, his red hair glowing from the sunlight through the window blinds behind him. He hardly acknowledges Zelmal entering the room, he too is preoccupied by whatever is in his paperwork. They discuse in private the plan they were sent for ending the project.
---In the Gym:
"Now We Meet" ----THAT EVENING: P.E.A.C.E. is called into the
classroom. Their gaurdians await the teens who are in their p.j.'s since
they were about to go to bed. Mr. Key asks them to take a seat. He continues to say that they have had contact with the N.A.E. and that they have
been informed of a mission that they want the peace keepers to carryout.
Polo asks what kind of mission it is. Zelmal stands up and replies,"Rescue!"
Mr. Key continues by saying they have been wired the specifics, maps of the
area and other needed information about the mission. Emilio asks of who and
to where. Zelmal replies," Of two N.A.E. Scientists who are being held on
a small island near the Virgin islands in the Carribean. It's a miniture
fortress in the center of a tropical jungle. The N.A.E. and us feel you can
complete this mission successfully." Anoki asks how soon before they leave.
"As soon as we are finished breifing you and you suit up. In two hours!"
So for the next hour and a half the peace keepers are given all the available information on the missionary coumpound in the jungle. Chase comes
into the breifing in her white nightgown and goes to Crystals arms to soon
fall asleep in her lap. Finally the breifing ends and the teens as well
as the gaurdians rise up and stretch out. Crystal gives the sleeping little
girl to her mother who takes her out of the room and back to bed. Mr. Key,
Zelmal, and Locklear hand out a first-aid and tool pack. Locklear tells them
to ,"Hurry up and get dressed in full jungle combat dress (jungle print fatigues, with black boots
and silk face masks) and be out at the jeep in fifteeen minutes.
"Dr. Key will drive you to the beach where a hover craft will pick you up,"
says Locklear. The teens take the utility packs and go to there rooms to change. After dressed they go out to the
jeep where all the gaurdians wait to bid them goodbye and goodluck. Zelmal
opens a small box and pulls out five chains of dog tags. "You'll also
need these in case you are captured or worse happens!...Equinox....Ezel....
Polo....Crystal....Anoki", says Zelmal as she places each's chain around
their necks. Locklear, and Mrs. Key kiss them good bye. Mr. Key allready
in the drivers seat of the jeep turns to the teens and orders them to hurrry
up and get in. They obey and Equinox sits in the passenger seat and buckles
himself in. Polo and Crystal sit in the back seats, and Anoki and Ezel
in the cargo area fold down seat and the four buckle in as well. Mr. Key
fastens his belt, starts up the jeep and they take off through the jungle.
They wait only moments at the beach before the bright lights of a silent running,
stealth hover craft flick on and temperially blind them. The craft pulls on-shore
and the teens look to Mr. Key who nods to them and tells them
goodbye. They quickly climb into the craft, one after the other and once all
five are aboard the craft cuts back off its lights and takes off
into the night. The five are taken to the nearby N.A.E. air base where
they are immediately ushered onto a standing-by jet that takes them to
the coastguard base in the Virgin Islands. From there they take a boat
carring them and small coastguard crew and the five wind scooters they
will use to get to the beach since the boat cannot get too close without
being detected.
--On the island: F.U.T.U.R.E. is in the jungle around
the compound spying from up in the trees. They relay to one another via
low frequency walkie talkie headsets. They are dressed entirely in black.
From their sweaters and BDU pants down to their boots, gloves and masks.
They watch and communicate to eachother at the sight of P.E.A.C.E. coming
up through the jungle. They don't know who they are, and don't really care
since they were told only to spy and not interfere with what happens. They
do stand on alert in case a fire-fight starts, so that they can escape
quickly and not be caught in any crossfire. "Well, who do you think you
are sneaking up onto the compound!!?", radio's Tempo, seeing Polo walking
on the ground below her. "I cann't tell who they are", says Epic as he
looks down on Ezel and Crystal through a pair of night vision goggles," They
aren't wearing any insignia." " A squad of 'Yankees'sent to do battle
with the 'Confederates' on this island!?", says Utopia hypothetically.
"Fire, come with me, let's go in for a closer look!!", orders Union. "Yes, sir", says Fire in a low voice as he starts
to climb down form the tree he was up in. Union a little ways away also
drops down from the tree she was in. Rhythm asks them to be careful since
they don't know if the five 'sneakers' are armed or not. Fire and Union
silently edge up closer to the compound and hide behind some bushes. They
put on their night vision goggles and peer at P.E.A.C.E. as they break
through the defences of the compound.
---Polo is using a small computer
straped to his arm with a link to break the lock codes on the electric
fence into the compound. After moments they are in and sneak up on the
two guards outside and stun them with their small stun guns then gag and
tie them. Ezel and Anoki wait outside while Polo, Equinox, and Crystal
proceed inside to search for the scientists. They split up to maximize
their efforts. Polo finds the female scientists in a cell with two armed
guards watching her. He quickly turns the corner and emites a energy burst
onto them that knocks them unconsious onto the floor. He releases the
scientist from the cell and starts to usher her out of the complex when
he hears an alarm go off through the building.
--Equinox briskly walks
through the halls looking through doors in search of the scientists. He
however runs into nine unarmed soldiers who are in their underwear in what
Equinox realized very quickly was the bunk room. The soldiers were happilly
playing cards until rudely disrupted. They get up and chase Equinox out into
the hall. Equinox quickly turns around and sends a fire up in the hall in
front of an behind them. One soldier still in the room putting on his pants
pulls the alarm and get an extinguisher to put out Equinox's flames. Equinox is
now running off down the hall and gone from sight.
--Crystal is lurking
up the hall following the echos she hears of the male scientists tired voice.
She finds him in a room with his arms tied up above his head as he is being
questioned by the leader of the compound who is surrounded by three soldiers.
Crystal waits a moment to antisapate what to do when she hears the alarm
go off in the building. The three soliers quickly run out off the room and
past Crystal who was hiding in the shadow of a pillar against the wall.
She quickly pops out of the shadow to see the officer holding a gun to her
face. "Gottcha'", says the large dark looking man in a thick French accent.
"I don't think so!!", says Crystal telepathically, confusing the man. She
then uses her telekinetic powers to knock the gun from his hands and down the
hall and out a window. He is still surprised but tries to take a punch
out on Crystal. She is hit in her left ribs and gasps for air.
She pulls her stunner from her belt and reaches up and shocks the man as he is about to strike her again. He falls
to the ground out cold. Crystal then goes into the room and frees the
scientist from his bondage and they flee the building as quickly as possible.
--Outside Anoki and Ezel are putting up a fight with a few soldiers
who heard the alarm and went outside to investigate. They subdue them and
help Polo as he brings out the Female scientist. The two soldiers Polo
had shocked are awake again and chasing after him. Anoki takes one down
with a judo move he picked up from Mrs. Key and Ezel simply punches out
the other. She isn't affected by the apparent pain to her hand, she takes
the woman through the woods, to the windscooters to leave. Equinox comes
dashing around from the side of the compound and nearly knocks Polo over
as he was tying up one of the soldiers. "Where is Crystal!!?", asks Anoki
to Polo and Equinox. "She is still inside, looking for the other scientist",
pants Equinox ," I was being chased by a bunch of half dressed soldiers!!"
Crystal comes around from the other side almost carring the male scientist
in her arms since he is so very weak. "Are Ezel and the other hostage out!!?",
asks Crystal from a distance. "Yes!, Are you okay Crystal!?", asks Equinox
seeing how Crystal is holding her side. "I'm fine, we need to hurry and get out
of here ,the soldiers are coming after us.!!" Anoki and Equinox take the
scientist and briskly carry him off into the jungle toward the beach. Crystal
and Polo head up the rear.
---Fire and Union watch curiously as the
transgretions unfold. As soon as Crystal emerges with the scientist Union
orders her team to bail out. "The situation has become hostile, I repeat the
situation has become hostile!!! Leave the area, go back to the North beach!!",
yells Union into the headset. Her and Fire get up and start toward the beach
when they run into Crystal and Polo as they too are fleeing the area. The
four where about to have a confrontation when they hear bullets ringing
out through the trees and hear the yelling and storming of many angry
soldiers. Union and Crystal look at each other momentarily and for a second
hear each others thoughts before the connection is broken by their teammates pulling
them in opposite directions, away from the sounds of the soldiers coming.
--Polo and Crystal meet the others at the beach, the scientist are behind
them on the seats with helmets on. Crystal and Polo jump onto their
windscooters and put on their helmets. Crystal glances back to see the
shadows of the six members of F.U.T.U.R.E. running through the edge of
the jungle towards the north side of the island. Crystal focuses back on the
windscooter and turns it on as the other four allready have and they take
off over the water toward the boat that is waiting for them half a mile off
shore.
--Coast Guard base : Crystal has been bandaged for the two badly
bruised and one broken rib she got when punched. All the other P.E.A.C.E. members
were just physically exhausted and ordered to have a good nights sleep. The male
scientist , Dr. Walter Brown-Smith was taken to a hospital for treatment
of the malnurishment, dehydration and physical torture he received while
being held. The female scientist was in better shape but she to was malnurished
and dehydrated from the ordeal and sent to the hospital aswell.
--The next
evening after a long shower, change of clothes, and large meal, the five
teens were called to a meeting with the General incharge of the base and
her staff of officers. P.E.A.C.E. was greeted openly by the General, a
tall, musclar woman with short brown hair and dark ,almost black eyes.
She asked them to be seated,her voice of authority. They obeyed. Then
the door they had entered opened again and six teenagers entered.
Crystal shifts in her seat,
wincing at the pain of her ribs. "So it wasn't some
kind of test!!?", asks Polo.
"No, not at all. The gunshots you reported were
very real. The eleven of you were in very real danger!', replies the General.
All eleven of the teens are silenced, now realizing that they could have been
killed. The general tries to put things on a lighter note by asking that the
teens introduce themselves to one another starting with Fire. They do so by
name, although a little hesitant. "Union, you were the telepath I meet in
the jungle!" asks Crystal. Union looks confused, Crystal telepathically
asks Union to answer her if she can hear her. Union does answer. Anoki gets
a thrilled look on his face and tells the others what has just happened. Union
is the third telepath. The General asked them to also sit down, they too obeyed.
The
general then begins her long speach to the teens and officers present," F.U.T.U.R.E.
and P.E.A.C.E. you are together atlast. This day has been sixteen years
in the making. The eleven of you hold on your small hands the fate of our
Earth. F.U.T.U.R.E. ,was brought up in Northern Alaska and is accustomed to
frozen environments. P.E.A.C.E., on the other hand was raised in the tropical
jungles of the Phillipines. You were brought up diversely for a reason.
You are the people who have been entrusted to do what no one has
been able to do, that is to bring world peace to our Earth. As I look at you I see
what you are capable of even if you don't see it in yourselves. I have
read your guardians reports on your progress, you are ready to meet the
world!!", she stops momentarily and changes her tone," You will stay here
on this base for the next four weeks, you have to know each other well enough
to trust each other.....Everything you need will be provided for you. There are
horse stables, a pool, and a recreation complex on base. You will
eat in the officers dining hall, I understand that all off you eat only
vegtables, grains and fish!", the teens all nod yes," Good I'll tell the chef....
You will all also have quarters on base, males in one apartment, females
in another....You will be allowed to leave the base to shop, etc. if you promise to be lowkey, for your
protection. Display your powers to no one outside of the base, if the
cofederates find out you are here you may be in alot of danger and possibly
put all the people on this base and islands in danger aswell!!".
"We have
no intention of doing anything that could put anyone else in danger, sir!",
says Utopia.
"Good!", replies the General," I suppose this meeting is over,
I just ask that you follow the rules that are in these handouts, and have a
good time while you're here. This place is not a prison, though it may seem
like one sometimes!!", says the General with a little humor,"Have fun!!"
The teens all crack a smile and take a copy of the rules as they leave.
While about to leave Equinox asks Tempo why her and her siblings all wear sunglasses
indoors. She tells him it is because there eyes are very sensative to the
light, and it was a result of the darkness much of the year in Alaska, but thet
after a while their eyes 'should' adjust. Epic questions Polo as to why his eyes
are white, Polo replies that it was a genetic
fault brought on by the 'Jelly Formula'. They all nod their heads. "We too know
the power of the 'Jelly', it made me be born an Albino, and Utopia without a
sense of smell", says Rhythm. Crystal furthers things by telling about Willamina,
who died, from a weak immune system because of the jelly. The general and the
officers see how the teens are allready starting a bond and they leave the room.
--Over the next few weeks the eleven teens interact with one another and
form freindships. They play and relax together before there real mission is
to begin. Crystal heals quickly.
