Peggy and William Smith, the owners of William & Garland Motel, generously offered a two night stay at their motel as the GRAND PRIZE for our drawings. This was the fourth year that Peggy and William have offered to do this. They consider themselves friends of the "family" as they are listed in the Ferrari and Damron guides. Peggy says that we queer folks are "good guests" and don't trash their motel. FYI, a little about the motel...

It is a MOTEL (this ain't the Hilton - don't call for room service at 2am!) located in SalterPath, which is right in the middle of Emerald Isle between Pine Knoll Shores and Indian Beach. They are located right on Hwy 58 with beach access via a beautiful nature trail walkway. They have rooms with one or two double beds with efficiency kitchens. They also offer the following amenities:

refrigerators in all rooms
fully equipped kitchens with pots, pans, dishes, etc.
coffeepots in all rooms
cable TV with remote

In addition, you will find Peggy and William to be friendly, helpful folks who live right on the premises. Just ask and they'll do their best to accommodate you. Best of all, you won't find better rates on the island - $45 to $65 per night in season!!!
