TEEN BEAT: Why don't you tell our readers who you are?

JOEY FATONE, JR: How are you doin'? My name is Joey.

LANCE BASS: I'm Lance.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE: I'm Justin. Hi!

CHRIS KIRKPATRICK: Hi, how're you doing? I"m Chris. I'm the bass of the group. I always talk really low. Right, Lance?

LANCE: [in a falsetto] Right, Chris!

JC CHASEZ: Hey! I'm JC.

TEEN BEAT: How did you guys get together as a group?

CHRIS: Well, it all started with me. I used to sing in coffee shops, and I decided to take it seriously and do this as a living. So, I called up a couple of my friends, who are these guys right here, because these are the guys that took it seriously. I called Justin. Justin and JC worked on The Mickey Mouse Club together, that's how they knew each other. I worked with Joey at Universal Studios. And we called a vocal coach, and he recommended Lance.

TEEN BEAT: Are you all Orlando based?

LANCE: Now we are. That's where the group met.

TEEN BEAT: Where are you all from?

JOEY: I'm from Brooklyn, New York,

LANCE: I'm from Clinton, Mississippi.

JUSIN: I'm from Memphis Tennessee.

CHRIS: I'm from this planet...I'm from Clarion Pennsylvania.

JC: I'm from the Washington, DC area.

TEEN BEAT: Is there a big music scene in Orlando?

JC: Well, yes, now that everything's been happeningm everyone's trying to get a gig. There's always been a lot of talent down there because of the theme parks. A lot of people go down there to do the stage shows, and there's a recording studio which brings a lot of musicians down there. Plus, Miami is a four-hour drive away. It's pretty packed with talent. It's just undiscovered because everyone is working at the theme parks.

TEEN BEAT: What were you two, Joey and Chris, doing at Universal?

JOEY: I did a show called The Beetlejuice Graveyard Review, and I played characters like the Wolfman and Dracula.

CHRIS: I was walking around collecting money in my hat! No, I used to sing with a '50s Do-Wop group called Hollywood High Tones, and we used to perform outside the '50s diner. We'd sing a cappella.

TEEN BEAT: Was everyone's first career choice to be a singer?

CHRIS: Not Lance. He wanted to be an astronaut!

LANCE: It's true. I wanted to fo into space administration.
