Adam Lee Rosol's We're only about two weeks into his second month, and we found that he has grown quite a bit. At his 1 month check up, we found that Adam had grown 1 1/2" to 21 3/4" and added 2 full pounds to 8 pounds 15 ounces. This is great news, because with all of the trouble we had been having with breast feeding, it was very good to know that he was getting more than enough to eat. We're told that we can expect him to start sleeping a little longer, but we haven't witnessed that to any great detail. We're still waking up every 2-3 hours, and Carol is feeding him. He's gone through some marathon feeding sessions of more than 4 hours at a sitting, which can really frustrate us because Carol has to just sit there while he eats. It can be kind of boring. We're also told that he'll start smiling soon. We're really looking forward to seeing that! Here's some pictures of him during the second month Some things never change. Adam is still a pretty good napper, but if you compare this picture (taken 3/19) to one of the ones taken in the hospital, you can see how much he's grown. "Am I cool or what?" - Carol is holding Adam by our neighbor's patio. Our neighbor Dana took this picture and Carol emailed it to me at work. A nice little gift to brighten my day.
"Now, get me ready for my closeup" - Carol is adjusting Adam's glasses while Grandma Rosol holds him. We're getting him ready for the next picture
"Mom, really! I look like a real goober in this picture!" - Carol is showing off Adam's new hat and shades. He's ready for Nags Head in May!
"It's ok when Grandma Rosol holds me too, I guess" - Adam seems relatively peaceful here, but five minutes before he was wailing pretty good. Just shows you that pictures aren't always true
"Hey, I can hold my head up for a minute or two" - Adam is holding his head up and showing off his new hat.
"Hey, check out that cool baby to my right! Wow, he's getting a bath too!" - Adam likes to look at himself in the mirror when he's getting a bath. The bathtub was loaned to us by Carol's cousin Lee and his wife JoAnn, one of the many donations from both sides of the family which have helped make having a baby less of a financial nightmare
"Did you know that I'm quite the little swinger?" - Adam seems to like his swing in this picture, but that's another case of photos not telling the whole story. He cries in it, but we try to put him in it occasionally anyway, as eventually he stops and falls asleep
