Coming Home (Ode To Earth)
Coming Home(Ode to Earth)
Written by Ariel Helena
After all this time
We're finally home
Blazing through the sky
Like dartin fireflies
Through the night
Of empty space
Then we see her
There she is
Gleaming like a jewel on velvet
That blue-white planet
We call our home
Remembering all those trials
Trying to see her again
So close yet so far away
Yet it already feels like we're there
Coming home after all this time
Seeing a sunrise and a sunset
The way they were meant to be seen
Like for the first time
And the last time
Breathing that sweet air
You're finally home
It feels like heaven
The hatch is let down
The salty sea air stings your face
It's a good feeling
Waves lap at your feet
Feel the sun on your face
If the whole universe ended
I would remember this moment
Of sheer estacy
Happy for all eternity now
Coming home after all this time
Seeing a sunrise and a sunset
The way they were meant to be seen
Like for the first time
And the last time
Breathing that sweet air
You're finally home
It feels like heaven
Sweet like the taste of wine
Just as intoxicating
Looking at bare earth
Months ago it would have seemed ugly
Now it's the most breathtaking site ever
Journey to homelands
Visit my parent's final resting place
I say my goodbyes since I didn't get to before
Memories flow freely
Just as the tears do sometimes
Sure, some are painful
But being home takes away all the pain
Coming home after all this time
Seeing a sunrise and a sunset
The way they were meant to be seen
Like for the first time
And the last time
Breathing that sweet air
You're finally home
It feels like heaven
Coming home.......
Coming home.......
We might have to leave
But we can say one day
"We're coming home"
Coming home.......for good...
