Sewing Machine Table

Home Page

Our furniture is completely handmade from reclaimed tobacco barn wood. The boards are predominately pine and are on average probably about 60 years old. (By 1965 metal "bulk barns" had ushered out these old wood barns and in most cases they slowly fell into a state of forgotfullness). Board widths range between 6" and 12", with a rare 13" or 14" find. Thickness is from 3/4" to 1 1/8 ". The natural color "hue" is from golden to a reddish-brown just as the planks are removed from the barns. None of our furniture is stained nor painted. The saw markings of the craftsmen who built these barns are usually visible on the boards. Each piece of furniture is finished with a coat of polyurethane to continue to preserve the color and make the piece you select ready for use. Each piece is completely assembled.
