Benjamin Thomas To Jacob Thomas
This indenture made this 22 say of January in the Year of ur Lord 1835. Between Benjamin Thomas of the state of No. Carolina and County of Anson of the one part and Jacob Thomas his son of the state and county aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the love and affection which I bear towards my son Jacob Thomas. I do here by Give Grant convey Enfeoff and confirm unto him the said Jacob Thomas a certain parcel of land in the county of Anson being part of two tracts. Beginning on the south bank of the Rocky River by a small wateroak sweet gum plum tree and persimmon tree and runs So 26 est 15 chains and 50 links to a stake by 2 red oaks and 2 dogwoods then So. 19 E 71 chains to a stake in the back line of the 300 acre tract then with said line No. 80 E. 15 chains to a pine and then No. 40 E. 11 chains to a pine crossing the big branch then No 15 Wst 66 chains and 25 links to a hickory by a red oak a black oak and white oak on the bank of the river then up the various courses of the river to the biginning containing 200 acres of land with all the woods ways mines minerals hereditaments and appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the aforesaid Jacob Thomas his heirs and assigns forever. To have and to hold in as full free and ample a manner as the most learned in law can devise both at law and equity. In witness where of I have here unto set my hand and fixed my sealthe day and date first above written.

Anson July sess 1835. Then this deed of Gift from Benjamin Thomas to Jacob Thomas was duly acknowledged in open court and ardered to be Registered.
