I, Ebenenezer Thomas of the County of Union and State of North Carolina being of sound disposing mind and memory and calling to mind the mortality of man do make constitute and declare this to be my last will and testament in the manner and form following. Hereby revoking all other and forms wills by me heretofore made or done.
Item 1st- My will is that J. C. Thomas, N. G. Thomas, S. A. Thomas, M. E. Thomas, J. E. Thomas, J. H. Thomas, Jacob A. Thomas and W. S. Thomas shall have one dollar each.
Item 2nd- My will is that my beloved wife Emeline Thomas shall have the remainder of my estate both real and personal during her lifetime and at her death to go to my son William S. Thomas. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this July the 29th A. D. 1879
