This Deed made this 2 day of June, A. D. 1900, by T.A. Fowler and E. A. Fowler his wife of Union County, and State of North Carolina to R. B. Fowler and H. D. Fowler of Union County and the State of North Carolina Witnesseth; That said T. A. Fowler and E. A. Fowler his wife in the consideration of nine hundred Dollars to them paid by R. B. Fowler and H. D. Fowler, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain sell and convey to said R. B. Fowler and H. D. Fowler and their heirs a tract of land in Union County, State of North Carolina on the Waters of the Rocky River adjoining the lands of Annis Thomas, J. E. Austin and others, bounded as follows viz: --Beginning at a small water oak sweet gum plum tree and persimmon on the south bank of Rocky River and runs S. 26 W. 15 chs and 50 l to a stake by two red oaks and two dogwoods thence S 19 E21 chs to a stake in the back line of the three hundred acre tract thence with said line N 80 E 15 chs to a pine thence N 40 E 11 chs to a pine crossing the big branch thence N 15 W 66 chs and 25 l to a hickory and white oak on the Bank of River, thence up the various courses of the River to the beginning including the Mill Seat within said boundaries and containing two hundred acres more or less
To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and all privilages and appertenances therto belonging to the said R. B. Fowler and H. D. Fowler theeir heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof. And the said T. A. Fowler and E. A. Fowler his wife covenant that they are seized of said premises in fee and have the right to convey the same in fee simple, and that the same is free from all incumbrances and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same, against the claims of all persons whatsoever in testimony whereof the said T. A. Fowler and E. A. Fowler his wife hath hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year above written.
