Born ca. 1834, Jane Thomas is the duaghter of David Thomas and second wife Mary. Jane was listed as an heir in her father's will that was written in 1844. Prior to the 1850 cenus, Jane Thomas married George A. Yarborough. Born ca. 1830 in SC, George is the son of Uriah H. and Elizabeth Yarborough. Uriah H. Yarborough is the son of Joshua Yarborough who lived in Mecklenburg/Anson Counties NC before moving to SC. George A. Yarborough had a sister named Elizabeth E. Yarborough. She married Jane Thomas's half brother David Neely Thomas.
In the 1850 Chester County census, the newly married George and Jane are living near Jane's mother. In 1857, a wagon train left Chester County for Blount County Alabama. This large group of families located near relatives who had relocated in the 1830's. In 1860 Blount County AL, George A. Yarborough and family are living near Mary Neely, Christopher Brakefield, David Neely Thomas, Jonathan Harkness, Ananias Thomas and others. The ages and birth location of the children verifies the time of removal to Alabama.
In 1875, the final return of the estate of David Thomas provided payment to W. A. Sanders for services rendered by the Blount County AL Clerk of Court. This Chester County SC court proceeding was ruled by C. C. McCoy, the acting Judge of Probate. In a book at the Chester County Courthouse entitled "Probate Judge-- Cash Book", the payment by W. A. Sanders is better described. W. A. Sanders, "atty in fact for George Yarborough & wife paid in full of their share" of the estate of David Thomas, deceased. Jane and her husband received $126.78, being the 1/6 interest in the sale of her deceased father's real estate.
The 1880 Blount County AL Census lists the the name of George's wife as "Frances". Her age of 45 is the same as that of Jane Thomas Yarborough's. Though this is likely Frances Jane Yarborough, there is the possibility that Jane had previously died and George remarried a lady named Frances.

A. Mary Yarborough b. 1850 in SC. She moved with her parents to Alabama where she lived wuth her parents until the 1870 census. At that time, she no longer appears.
B. George Washington Yarborough b. 1856 in SC and has a twin brother named William. Dated 2 Mar 1875, George married Caroline White. George's twin brother William married Caroline's sister named Martha J. White.
C. William Yarborough b. 1856 in SC, married on 19 Mar 1875 Martha Jane White.
D. Martha Yarborough b. 1859 in Blount County AL, married on 25 Oct 1877 Rufus White.
E. David Yarborough b. 1861 in AL is likely named for his grandfather David Thomas. David Yarborough married 7 Sep 1877 Rintha Smith.
F. Susan A. Yarborough b. 1865 in AL, married 4 Aug 1881 James Brakefield
G. Louisa Yarborough b. 1868 in AL.
H. Belvia Yarborough b. 1871 in AL.
