I, Leonard Musslewhite of the County if Union and State of North Carolina being of Sound mind and memory, but considering the uncertain of my earthly existence do make and declare this to be my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say

First that my executor (herin after named)Shall provide for my boddy a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts howsoever or to whomsoever owing out of the moneys that may first come into the hands as a part or parcel of my estate. Item- I give and devise to my beloved wife Dorcas Musslewhite all the Lands that I posess being about three hundred acres to have and to hold to her the said Dorcas Musslewhite for and during the term of her natural life and at her death to be equally devided between my sons Drury and Leonard I further I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Dorcas Musslewhite all my stock consisting of horses cattle sheep and hoggs also all my household and kitchen furniture working tools &c to have and to hold to her the said Dorcas Musslewhite for and during the term of her natural life and at her death all the above named property to be equally devided between my two sons Drury Musslewhite and Leonard Musslewhite- and I do hereby constitute my beloved wife Dorcas Musslewhite my lawful executor to all intents and purposes to execute this my last will and testamnet according to the true intent and meaning thereof hereby revoking and declaring utterly all void all wills and testaments by me heretofore made in witness whereof I the said Leonard Musslewhite do hereunto set my hand and seal this 23 July 1845

This Instrument of writing the last [will] and testamnet of Leonard Musslewhite was probated in open court and admitted to Probate due form of law by the Oath of Jonathan Austin Proven the hand writing of Jesse Austin deceased of the subscribing witness thereto and Dorcas Musslewhite the Executrix therein named appeared in Open Court and was duly sworn as Executrix ORdered by the Court that letter testimentary issue to said Executrix
