Jethro
Tull: since 1968 |
Ian Anderson founder and
frontman of Jethro Tull celebrated his (unbelievable) 39th year as a musician
in 2002. He was actually the first musician using the flute in a rock
band. He remains the "father" of using the flute in popular
music. He also plays ethnic flutes and whistles and all kinds of mandolines.
Sometimes IA played drums and saxophone, but he won´t play that
on stage. Beneath his work on Jethro Tull, he realised a classical project
with "Divinities: Twelfe Dances With God" for EMI's Classical
Music Division in 1995. He will tour with Jethro Tull and as a solo artist
with orchestra and accoustic projects. |
