THERE FOR ME
You were there when I doubted myself,
You were there when I put my heart on a shelf.
You were there when I took it down,
You were there when I had happiness abound.
You were there when he spouted lies,
You were there whenever I cried.
You were there when blindly I loved,
You were there, my guardian from above.
You were there, and my heart you did mend,
You were there, time and time again.
You were there when I foolishly let him back in,
You were there, disguised as a friend.
You were there when suicide plagued my mind,
You were there, always easy to find.
You were there, and healed my soul,
And you would always be there, I was told.
So I try to thank you, and show you how much I care
Because whenever I needed you, you were always there.
I love you very deeply, can you not see?
I hold you close to my heart, for you were there for me.
This poem was written for those of you who were always there by me whenever I needed you. You have always been my gardian angels, and I hold a very special place for you guys in my heart.
