Passing

Playname : Line 3 Way

1

This is good for new players, have your players line up about 15 feet or so apart. You start off by having them bounce pass the ball back and forth to their partner across from till they get the hang of it,they can step towards their partner to help with the pass if need be.You can do simple variations of this to try and help them judge distance better, and pass to the player next to their partner also, and so forth.Be creative.

**With beginners you first need to stress and demostrate the correct way of catching a pass with the correct hand position and the fingers spread out to keep from jamming or breaking a finger.**

2

Don`t let them go too slow, try to keep a good consistant pace up and show them how to snap off a good crisp pass.Remember, you are building muscle memory up too when doing all drills.

3

Next we do chest passes,we are passing for distance and accuracy.Try to get the kids to be on target.I used the kids number area on their chest as a target.

4

Next we make the players get down on their knees and do a overhead pass with the target being right on top of their partners head. This is hard, but it builds shoulder and arm muscles up real good.Don`t let the kids sit on the back of their feet, also let them put a pad or towel under their knees.
