What is Saving Faith?

II Cor. 13:5 "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your
              own selves...except ye be reprobates."  (condemned, lost)

SAVING FAITH IS BY GRACE + NOTHING.
  Eph. 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved."
  Titus 2:11 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation."

SAVING FAITH IS THROUGH FAITH + NOTHING.
  Eph. 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith."
  I Tim. 3:15 "...the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto
  salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."
  Rom. 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of
  God."

SAVING FAITH IS IN A PERSON.
  John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
  no man cometh to the Father but by me."
  Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
  other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

SAVING FAITH IS IN ONE MEDIATOR.
  I Tim. 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men,
  the man Christ Jesus."

SAVING FAITH IS IN THE FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST.
  Heb. 1:3 "...when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right
  hand of the Majesty on high."
  Heb. 10:12 "But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins
  for ever, sat down on the right hand of God."
  Heb.10:14 "For by one offering He hath perfected forever them that
  are sanctified."

SAVING FAITH IS WROUGHT AT CALVARY.
  Luke 23:33 "And when they were come to the place which is called
  Calvary, threr they crucified him."
  John 3:14-15 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,even
  so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in Him
  should not perish, but have eternal life."
  Rom. 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were
  yet sinners, Christ died for us."

  NOTE: AT CALVARY God's Justice was Satisfied--God's Law was Justified.
                    God's Truth was Clarified--God's Word was Verified.
                    God's Gift was Magnified--God's Love was Exemplified.
                    God's Name was Glorified--Man's Sin was Mortified.

SAVING FAITH IS IN THE BLOOD OF CHRIST.
  Eph. 1:7 "In whom we have Redemption through His blood, the forgiveness
  of sins."
  I Pet. 1:18-19 "...redeemed...with the precious blood of Christ."
  Heb. 9:22 "...without shedding of blood is no remission."

SAVING FAITH IS IN THE DIETY OF CHRIST.
  John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
  the Word was God."
  Col. 2:9 "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."
  I Tim. 3:16 "...God was manifested in the flesh..."

SAVING FAITH IS IN THE VIRGIN BIRTH OF CHRIST.
  Matt. 1:23 "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth
  a son, and they shall call his name Emmanual, which being interpreted
  God with us."

SAVING FAITH IS IN THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST.
  Rom. 1:3-4 "Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made
  of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the
  resurrection from the dead."
  John 11:25-26 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life:
  he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And
  whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die."

SAVING FAITH IS IN CONFESSING THE SIN OF UNBELIEF AND ASKING GOD TO FORGIVE YOU.
  Rom. 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
  and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead,
  thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteoesness
  and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
  Luke 18:13 "God be merciful to me a sinner."

SAVING FAITH IS FOR THE SOUL.
  MARK 8:36-37 "For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world
  and lose his own soul?" Or what shall a man give in exchange for his
  soul."
  Ezek. 18:4 "...the soul that sinneth, it shall die."
  Matt. 10:28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able
  to kill the soul: but rather fear Him who is able to destory both
  soul and body in Hell."

SAVING FAITH JUSTIFIES.
  Rom. 5:1 "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God
  through our Lord Jesus Christ."
  Rom. 3:24 "Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption
  that is in Christ Jesus."
  Rom. 3:28 "Therefor we conclude that a man is justified by faith without
  the deeds of the law."

SAVING FAITH GIVES ASSURANCE.
  John 10:28 "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never
  perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
  John 5:24 "Verily, Verily, I say unto you, He that hearth my word,
  and believed on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall
  not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." 

SAVING FAITH GIVES VICTORY OVER SELF DESTRUCTION AND SATANIC DECEPTION.
  I Cor. 15:57 "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory
  through our Lord Jesus Christ."
  I John 5:4 "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and
  this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."
