Circle & Rosie
(Retired)
Since there have been no litters since March 31, 1999, I am assuming Rosie has now slipped into the easy life of pampered retirement. Circle & Rosie have produced six litters that varied from 3 (#1) to 8 (#2 & #3), and produced a total of 37 pups!
Circle is a beautiful Argente Golden male that I adopted from Elizabeth Heckert, a breeder in Wilmington, Delaware, on April 19, 1998. He was born as part of Lautrera Litter #5 on March 13, 1998, to Ciaran, a lilac, and Phoebe, an Argente Golden.
Rosie, his mate, was born on February 23, 1998, as one of a litter of 8, and is one of Cloud & Guen's black pieds from their very first litter.
They were young when they were introduced and went through the "allergic" stage, when they slept on separate ends of the tank. Eventually there was some interest from Circle, but Rosie had no interest other than a full body wash and sleeping curled up with him at this point. Obviously, they attained enough maturity and are now an inseparable lovable couple.
Check out Rosie when she gets pregnant . . . what a tummy! She tends to look like a black pied tennis ball with legs. :oP This is very normal for her, though!
I thought they may have been stressed because of our big move from Maryland, but it looks as though they're becoming part of the growing population of pet pairs.
