In the opening contest, Jason Blade defeated Jimi Love in a good match that saw both men utilize several high-impact offensive moves before Blade finally captured the victory.
Rebel Scott Tyler and Gen. David Tyler, collectively known as the Southern Connection took on Hardcore Hicks and "Superstar" Sean Cruise. Cruise and Hicks put up a good fight but the Southern Connection was dominant for much of the match and eventually picked up the win.
Up next, RCW Heavyweight Champion Corey Edsel defended his title in a No DQ match against Kurt Solo with Persuasion. Both competitors battled hard, Solo went for the Solo Bomb early hoping to put Corey away but missed. Likewise, Edsel attempted the Standing Moonsault but Solo slid out of the way and tripped him up while executing the move. Edsel went for the Colombia Jam (top rope legdrop) but Solo slid out of the way again and almost got a three count because of it. Champion and challenger both waged a stiff and hard-hitting war with each other that in the end saw Rob McBride come out to interfere against Edsel, but the interference backfired and Solo was rolled up and pinned. Corey Edsel remains RCW Heavyweight Champion. Great match.
Sgt. Max Rhoades and Heartthrob Alan Rage, two of the most experienced grapplers on the RCW roster were out next for one-on-one action. Rage worked over Rhoades for much of the contest but the Sarge fought back and went airborne, coming off the top rope with a cross bodyblock to get the pin.
King of RCW Champion Kingpin was out next to defend his title against the powerful Tank Lawson and the high-flying Brass Munkey in a three-way-dance. Munkey nailed well-placed kicks on both of his opponents at different points in the contest. The high flyer also came off the middle turnbuckle with a swank tornado pedigree for a two count. Kingpin eventually caught Munkey with the spinning Bossman slam and eliminated him from the match. Once Kingpin turned around however, Tank was waiting on him with the King of RCW Title belt and hit him with it before scoring a quick pinfall to win the Title.
RCW Tag Team Champions the $outh$ide Playas successfully defended their belts against the Kamikaze Duo. A chair came into play late in the contest, which L.A. Ca$h got a hold of and tossed to Hung So Lo behind the referee's back. Ca$h then collapsed to the canvas and when referee Vern Stephens turned around to see Hung with the chair and Ca$h "knocked out" so he was forced to call for the disqualification. Good match.
In the first of two main events, Rob the Bull McBride took on Whiteville's own Sage. McBride worked over Sage for much of the contest but the youngster fought and was getting the upperhand when McBride reached into his bag of tricks and nailed Sage several times with a foreign object. Sage refused to stay down, despite the weapon shots, and kept coming back, eventually nailing a reverse neckbreaker for a nearfall. McBride became visibly frustrated at his inability to put Sage away and threw a giant fireball into his face. Referee Vern Stephens immediately called for the bell and disqualified McBride but the damage had been done. The rest of the roster rushed the ring as McBride made a quick escape.
The final match of the evening was a number one contender's battle royal to earn a future shot at the RCW Heavyweight Title. When McBride entered the ring, mocking the blinded Sage, the entire roster ganged up on him. Eventually, the royal dwindled down to Brass Munkey and Rob the Bull, with McBride finally tossing Munkey out to become number one contender. After the match however, a bandaged and burned Sage made his way to the ring and announced that RCW commissioner Randolph Hedrick had ordered a steel cage match for May 18th in Whiteville with McBride versus Sage.
