Whichever way it's said, it will probably come out as hyperbole or just good old-fashioned 'hype'.
And I wouldn't want it that way; not with Rare Bird.
Graham Field and the boys walked off in the street and laid a demo on me. It happens all the time.
Only this time it was good, very good.
Their first gig was at Birmingham's (heavy) Mother's Club, and it was a stand-out night. The band blew a storm.
One just knew it was going to be the first of many.
They have everything going for them, and they're together enough to sustain it.
Rare Bird are a rare find, innovative, original, deeply musical. They're one on their own.
